Maybe the 8 waves by March will be like the ROTS line.  We will get 8 new waves, then those same 8 waves will ship all year.

Was the Stormtrooper really that hard to find for some people?  I wish I had known.  I bought two, but saw them sitting many times.  Can't wait to see better shots of these.

Ed, it's a gun.  A really, really big gun.  I don't care what a video game says.  That thing's for shootin'!

These lists all look good, but what I really want is a Clone In Training.  A SA figure of the clone in the red outfit worn on Kamino.

These boots are made for walkin'!  Wow.  Those things are nuts.  Maybe they're soft rubber and can pop off.  Who knows.  Love the frog in the robe, as I have a thing for "boring" figures.

While I have yet to see these, I did pick up the first wave last week.  Am I the only one who is hugely relieved to actually see these things so soon in the new year?  I was worried we'd have another post-movie year drought like in 2003.  That was the crappiest six months of my entire collecting carreer.

I'm glad that Hasbro and retailers are getting this new stuff out so fast. They know that they've got a good fan base and they're not going to let it go.  It's a great way to start the year.

I think that the V-Wing from ROTS could be done in the 20-25.00 range.  Also, the little Jedi Speeders from ROTS could be done for a good price.  Same goes for that 2 seater speeder that the clones had in ROTS.  Didin't have much screen time, but I think there's a die-cast version of it.  It could also be affordable.  And my most wanted, newly sculpted vehicle that would reatil for 20.00? A properly scaled Snowspeeder.  It's the only Kenner/Hasbro vehicle that's bigger than it should be!

It's funny, usually TRU is the last to get new stuff, but they are the only place that I've seen the new SAGA figures.  I'd like to be a bigger fan of the store becuase I grew up going to TRU and bought some of my earliest Star Wars (Vinatge) figure there.  But the chain doesn't seem to be very with it.  To me, they lost the plot back when they got rid of the nice, organized isles, and replaced them with mazes.

"Maybe I can finally get a VOTC Boba or Stormie.
That is the only good I can see coming from it."

Huh?  Those figures were everywhere.  Perhaps, if you weren't collecting back then, you should turn to a sceondary market.  There's no shame in going to Ebay to get an older product.  Waiting for Hasbro to rerelease it might not happen.  Remember, you're a collector, not just a consumer.  You have to seek out what you want.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: Animated Figs in TSC?

Yeah, I believe that when the animated series hits, it will have its own line of figures that will represent the design of the show.

If this holds true, I too hope it's just stupid gold or silver figures, and not things that actually appear in the films.

I cancelled my Anakin and Luke today.  I can't stand Sideshow as a company.  Hasbro may be clueless, but this company is downright foolish.  It bums me out too.  For a long time I've waited for affordable, nice looking 12" figures.  Now that they're here, they're a pain in the can to get.  Screw 'em.  I just saved tons of money over the next few years.

The sculpts on these new figures are excellent.  While I don't usually moan about articulation, Han's legs seem so out of date.  It really is a shame that they don't bend.  He would have been a top notch  figure if they had.  I'm fine with Bib's limited articulation, he never really did mutch but caress (ewww)  R2.

Saga Collection '06 / Animated Figs in TSC?
« on: January 5, 2006, 07:59 PM »
Just curious, how would everyone feel about Hasbro making an "Animated Clone Wars" wave within The Sga Collection?  Personally, I'd be all for it.  These would be in the animated style, not movie style figures of animated characters. To me, it would be no different than having figures from comic books and video games in the mix.

I think that there are so many cool figures, that this could be done often.  While I know were getting a "movie style" Muftak Jedi, I would really love a cartoon style one.  Figs like Snow Bunny Padme, Seasee Tiin in Armor, and Grevious' Body Guards would make great figures.  Not to mention Obi-Wan and Anakin in their proper Season 2 Jedi gear with the small bits of armour. Any thoughts?  It's been dead around here...

Wal-Mart is not an option for everyone.  Target is 5 minutes away.
