Doesn't eBay have a policy that if an item hasn't shipped within 30 days that you can ask for a refund?

Seems too good to be true to me. Seller has no feedback in the last 12 months either. That being said, if it's a scam you should be able to get your money back. Might be worth the risk..........

Not too exciting, but upgraded my Snowspeeder and Imperial Troop Transport to complete versions from a local toy/comic store.

My contact with ebay was a phone call in this case. The guy just didn't tell me much more than "he would pass it on to "violations" and the seller would be banned if they found evidence of shill bidding".

8 days later and I've heard nothing from ebay.

Has anyone else out there who has had to deal with a dispute/problem/etc. on ebay; a) had to wait this long to hear back? or b) and this is more what I'm wondering, ever had to deal with a situation where the other party didn't know you were questioning something (I've had issues where I had to get ebay involved because I never received my item, but that was always just through messages not a phone call and obviously the seller was aware) where ebay decided against you and then never let you know? In other words I'm wondering if ebay will ONLY contact me if they decide they can prove shill bidding? If they decide against me would they not let me know?

It's frustrating that I'm not sure if they are still investigating or if they are done looking into it and decided for the seller so I just get to wonder for eternity.

Received the item today. Glad I own it.

That being said I called eBay. The guy I talked to said it would be passed on to the "violations" department or whatever it was called. I would like my $9.50 back (first auction had a legit bid at $4 over starting price), but even if I don't get money back I want this a-hole banned from eBay. I'll keep ya updated (even if you don't care  ;))

This was the first item he has sold on ebay. 15 feedback as buyer. I wonder if he'd refund me anything if I called him out. Or if I should go to eBay first?

I did pay. It's been shipped. I decided that against "my principles" I wanted the toy enough to just pay, get it and then decide if I want to do anything after the fact. That may hurt me in the long run, but again I wanted the item.

You got played.

I agree. Any thoughts on feedback etiquette? Too circumstantial to say something/bad feedback? Do I give him no feedback as my recourse? Not that that is a hefty penalty. Contact ebay?

I may be looking for something where there isn't anything. I won't say more, but just wonder if anyone else sees any red flags here.

Custom SW Toy on ebay.
I open the bidding and then eventually maxed my bid at $15 more than opening bid.
A couple bidders with ebay history bid at the early stage but go away.
Towards the end a new bidder with zero feedback comes in and bids me up a few times until he outbids me.
I lose the auction to that zero fb bidder.
Same day/next day the same item is back up for auction from original seller.
I'm thinking he made more than one.
So I bid same way again.
Again towards the end a different from the first time bidder with zero feedback high bids to $14 above the starting price and I win the item for my top bid.

Thoughts?.............

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: 'The Hobbit' movie

This is over simplified, but.....
All three LOTR books are masterpieces.
The Hobbit is "only" great.
So just by math The Hobbit movie wouldn't have been as good if it had been one movie let alone made into three movies that are all diluted from the book material and then also crammed full of other sources to make them 2+ hours. So I think we got what was to be expected from the Hobbit trilogy of movies.

I was watching those auctions. Explains where they went. Nice! He is selling another of the droid I wouldn't even try to reproduce because it'd be too difficult. I really want it but certainly not for $45+.

Thanks Jesse. That makes sense. If I had taken a moment to think about the color of the plastic it should have been obvious they weren't production rejects.
