What about some sort of fold down out riggers similar to what large Fire Dept. ladder trucks use?  Actually, some cheap fire truck toy might just have them already made.

These are real cool.  I especailly like the clear pole and base rigged up for the flying position.  That's how I always thought that Hasbro should have made the speeder bikes.  That way you could display the bike as if it were flying, or take it off and play with it.

"I guess repacks and repaints are very profitiable"

...Actually, I think that neutral poses and articulation are profitable!  The repacks and repaints are just showing up, and can't really be counted in the totals.

I'm sure that Hasbro is really going to make the best of the 30th anniversary, and of the TV shows.

"If they released a new DST, super articulated, and included a kepi hat with him just like the 12" DST...  THAT would cover my desire for the Imp. Commander being resculpted in vintage form."

The only problem with that is that the DSTs had big gauntlets, while the officers had straight arms.  They could, however, share the rest of the body parts.

And, yes, that Death Star Trooper (Death Squad Commander) is absolutly wearing a grey uniform.  The vinatge figure is correct.  What's odd though, is on close inspection, his costume is grey, while Tarkin's is more of the green-grey. Hmmmmm.....

The figure that I really want now is that little guy with the goggles standing under the spidery looking ship is Mos Eisley.  That little dude is nuts.

Yeah, that 365 book is the Star Wars book that I've been waiting for for years.  It's really packed, and there is tons of OT stuff that I've never seen, and I feel that I've seen it all.

It would make sense to have a nice articulted Death Star Trooper.  I would love to see him come in the film accurate black outfit, and gray repaint down the road as a nod to Kenner.

While were talking about troops.  Hasbro should re-release the #41 Clone with its current helmet, and include an E2 Clone Helmet also.  That way we could choose which one we wanted.

When I was taking care of my newborn baby, I depended on those carts left in the middle of the lot.  I'd pull up next to one, and put my baby and carrier right in.  If the carts were only in the store, I'd have to shlep across the lot with the carrier, and the baby would alwys wake up.

I'm not sure how I feel about obscure resculpts like Garindan.  The POTF2 one is fine by me, I'd rather have never before made characters.  But I'm sure this will be nice looking.  Hasbro's at the top of their game sculpt wise lately.

Other Collectibles / Re: Star Wars "Choppers"?
« on: October 18, 2005, 01:05 PM »
Who are these things aimed at?  I thought that the SW choppers would be very realistic miniature choppers with SW paint jobs.  Almost as if OC Choppers and Lucas got together.  But these are nuts.  I really can't imagine who would buy these.

Yeah.  These look cool.  I don't have a Wal-Mart anywhere near me, anyone want to snag me a set of each.  I'm good for it!

Nice job.  The painting is really crsip for a first time.  About the colores, I don't think that orange is a bad choice, just not very Star Warsy. The orange you used looks neon, and the colors is Star Wars tend to be have more earth tones incorparated into them.  Even the Royal Guards are blood red, not fire-engine red.

Thanks for the info...just for fun you should photograph it from the end (behind IG-88) with two differnt set ups of figures.  Than you can flop one half in Photoshop and put them togehter to make one big bridge photo.  That's what Lucas does!

LOL! Ed, that totally made me spit up my tuna sandwich!  Way to go.  My wife thinks I'm disgusting and childish.
