Kubricks / Re: Carded Kubricks
« on: January 24, 2008, 08:57 AM »
So I'm leaning toward keeping the Luke carded.  Before I e-mail Oscar about buying some cases, does anyone have any extras that they would be willing to part with for a nominal fee?  Let me know.  Thanks.

Other chases we discussed were Bail Organa, Grievous' Body Guard and Crispy Anakin...

I think I'm going to have to get some extra force lightning from the Series 4 Emperor Palpatine to have Dooku displayed with force lightning as well...

Also thinking of a few more custom possibilities with these figures...

My guesses:

Boba Fett (Kid version), Arena Padme, Clone Officer

I thought about the Arena Padme too, but we are supposed to get one in the box set aren't we?

There are so many figures that I think would make good chases with this Series.  Due to the Geonosis Arena Battle, any one of the Jedi could make an appearance as a chase in the Anakin, Obi-Wan or Yoda boxes, but I think that the most obvious one would be Mace Windu.  I think Kit Fisto would make a great Kubrick.  I think that we could see a Palpatine or one of the Separatist Leaders as a chase in the Dooku box.  I could also see them doing a young Boba Fett, a fatigues Clone or an ARC Trooper in the Jango Box.  Since we are supposed to get a Clone Trooper Captain in the box set, I could see them throwing one of the other three repaints in as a chase in the Clone Trooper box.  Soooo many possibilities...

This Series looks great!  Can't wait to get these too!  Looks like a June 2008 release date, any ideas on when we'll need to place orders for these?

So I've been reading through this thread again and I have a question for most.  Other than Jeff who's made his position rather clear, is anyone else planning on opening their carded figures?  I just got the carded Luke figure and don't know if I'm going to keep it carded or open it up and put it in with the rest of my display.  I can see keeping the Bape Fett, Parco Jorg, Carbonite Han and the Vader carded based on the release quantities, but it's the ones that were released in quantities of 1000+ I'm struggling with.

Thoughts?

Looks great Brent!  That's going to look fantastic when it's completely filled.  BTW, what did your wife say when she saw it hanging up on the wall?

Can't wait to see the case when it's fully loaded, but it was pretty impressive even when it was empty...

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: TRU "Hoth Patrol" Battle Pack
« on: January 18, 2008, 08:21 AM »
Definite pass.  The thing I find most interesting is that they call this the 'Hoth Patrol' BP yet the Wampa already has a part of the Tauntan in his hand...  They could have made this the 'Hoth Patrol/Wampa's Cave' BP, and then added the two pieces of 'ice' that allow you to hang Luke upside down.

Flat Flat Flat....I didn't care for tonight's episode whatsoever...but it's a filler between now and 24 so we'll see what happens.  Prison Break totally overshadowed this show.  They should have aired the shows in reverse order IMO.

I agree that tonight's show was flat as they were trying to introduce enough of the story to set things up for future episodes.  However, the preview for the next episode had a lot of scenes that make me want to tune in next week...
