Kubricks / Re: Custom Hood Down Hoth Han
« on: January 10, 2008, 09:53 AM »
Here's another one that I've been wanting to do for a long time now, but couldn't get my mitts on an extra Hoth Han.  Now we need Medicom to step up and give us a Hoth Luke and Leia to go with him!

I cleaned up the right side of the hood in back since I took these pictures and painted that white area brown.  I need to touch-up the front left with some off-white paint, but other than that the only other thing I plan on adding to this is the VTAC Hoth Han hat/goggles accessory for him to hold onto... As always, enjoy!

Kubricks / Re: Custom Ceremony Han Kubrick
« on: January 8, 2008, 11:07 PM »
Well, since you mention it, I'm already working on my next one... Ceremony Han from A New Hope.

I wanted to get this one finished earlier, but I've been spending more time downloading CD's than I have been customizing.  I took a break from downloading tonight to work on this one though.  I always thought that the TRU set Luke looked lonely without his buddy Han to keep him company.  I was originally planning on just giving my wife a Series 2 Han since he's her favorite character.  However, she said that she wanted me to customize it instead.  So, since I had an extra TRU set Luke torso laying around, I decided to whip this one up.

I'm not sure if I'm done with it or not at the moment.  I need to sleep on it I guess.  Feedback is always welcome too... In the mean time, enjoy!

Even loose without the weapons these have been running pretty high.

Yeah, so far for the four figures I have, I've spent $160.  That's also without the Snowtrooper.  So once you factor in that those have been going for about $70, I'm in for at least $230 for this set...

Looks like I'm going to have to start up the lunch runs again for these...  These and the McQuarrie Rebel are the last Hasbro figures I'm looking at getting...

I can hear them screaming!!
LET US OUT!!!!!!
You better do it dude, last thing you want is a kubrick revolution, last time i kept mine packed up they escaped and decapitated my guyver figure!!!

Well Hemish, I was finally able to bust them out of their prison.  Now that I started downloading music onto my iPod, I have a cd tower that is being unused.  I convinced my wife to let me use if for my Kubricks, unfortunately though, it's down in my basement.  The shelving fits the Johnny Lightning cases perfectly, and I still have room for the upcoming Series 8 and Series 9 releases.

I still have another tower full of music to go through, but once I'm done, I'll be able to use that for my Marvel and Batman Kubricks.

I'm expecting a few more figures in the next few weeks, so I'll be updating again by the end of the month.  Among the ones I'm waiting on are the Series 4 chase Luke/Darth Vader, Series 5 chase Walrusman, the remaining Cantina Band Members, and the Matrix Reloaded Keymaker.  In the mean time, enjoy!

« on: January 4, 2008, 01:48 PM »
I'm resolving to buy a lot less Hasbro merchandise and concentrating on Kubricks.  We also bought a new house last year, so this year is all about filling it up with new furniture, I'm building a deck, and we need landscaping...  Lastly, my sons are growing up and starting to get into thier own toys, so I'm sure that I'll be spending my former Hasbro money on Thomas trains and Cars die-cast vehicles/playsets for them.

I've read on here about Johnny Lighning ones and the TRU won't be carrying them? Any other places. I know couple won't fit in the official cases, but I like how they stack.

I just ordered 12 Johnny Lightning cases from Troys Toys.  Price was $6.50 each and a flat $8 for shipping, no matter how many you buy.  This is the only e-tailer I've found that still has these listed as in-stock.

Looks great as always.  It's good to see the realistic drawings in with the cartoons...  You're definitely multi-talented!

I'm a total iPod virgin.  I got my first one for Christmas from my wife and have been ldownloading music for the past week.  I'm only about a third of the way through my CD's and I've got 1615 songs in my music list.  Can't wait to see where my total ends up when I'm done...

I haven't had any issues with the iPod yet, but I've been having problems with iTunes while I'm downloading off my CD's.  As I'm going through the songs to choose which ones to download, every fourth or fifth CD will lock up iTunes and I need to close down the program.  It's pretty frustrating since I have so many disks, but it's more frustrating when the Microsoft error message states that I need to download the latest version of iTunes in order to remedy the problem.  Since I just got this for Christmas, I have the latest version of iTunes...

Anyone else have this happen?
