The Vintage Collection / Re: 2010 "Vintage" Collection Wave 4 - AotC

The Mace and Zam are the ones I'm most interested in and your review and pics has sold me on them. I appreciate the details on those figs. They are all really great figs.

Collect All 92! / Re: Dengar

Well I finally got Dengar to complete by Bounty Hunter collection.
His sculpt is very well done and has great articulation. He can stand and pose very well. I've got  mine in a kneeling pose shooting that big rifle. I also had the 2004 version, the first with ball joint shoulders. He looked cool but with his head in a downward looking sculpt, limited him some.
But now with the new gritty badass Dengar, they got it just about right. Adding the ball socket torso is a plus and works well with his armor. The detail in the armor sculpting and outfit are very well done. Ony real question I have is the removable cod-piece. If it was a littlel snugger fit, I'd like it a little better; not a bad thing but just curious. I also like the detail again of the backback and is just as good as the 2004 version. Including his sidearm and holster is a great thing, as he had it as seen on the cardback. The headsculpt is very good, I like the effect of the outline around the wrap and his face. His head does seem a smidge too small and rides high up on the neck post. Other than missing the little buttons as seen on the original and 2004 Dengar, which one could resolve with a dot of brown paint if so inclined, I'd say this Dengar is the perfect version. I'm very happy!

Well I finally got my Zuckess and Dengar as presents to myself.
I really Zuck a lot, the detailing and articulation are great. he's pretty much what I wanted/expected. I really like the detail of connecting the hoses from his mask to a pack on his back. His funky looking gun is cool too, kinda like a futuristic sawed-off shotgun in how he holds it (keep the clear band for it though). His outfit is a good combo of plastic and softgoods, though mine had his cloak held open in the package so it's flared open. But no biggie. I like how my original vintage one has what looks like Tusken Raider style pants on and here he's got detailed pants with armored boots, nice touch. Very cool figure I'm glad to have in my collection.

Tron Legacy will DEF be a dvd I buy when it comes out. oh and I thought they 'were' gonna do a 'Black Hole' remake, NOT that they need to do one.

cold (35 degrees) and windy here in North Carolina today, Had a brief snow flurry for about an hour then sun came out. Though we are suppossed to get a snow storm Sun night. We had a white christmas though in NC for the first time in a long time, about 5" to 9" across the state.

I could watch New Hope, Empire and Sith without getting tired of them.

FInally got to see this with my son on Tuesday. Hadn't planned to see the 3D version but the times I found didn't specify which version and since it didn't cost TOO much more, we went. I was a little worried going in but I loved it and so did my son. THe visuals were outstanding especially in 3D. I thought the story worked pretty well with logical nods to the original IMHO.
and of course the Daft Punk soundtrack was totally rocking. We both walked out very pleased. But as with any niche movies, not everyone will like it and that is OK.
This will DEF be a dvd I buy when it comes out!

To me, it's not a multi-pack...  More comparable, to me, to exclusive vehicles or whatnot.

Like a Playset?

Or maybe they'll call it an "environmental element" instead ;)
But the Jabba is Def a great addition and I'ld like to get but with limited funds and my son not interested in it, it'll have to wait.

Shadows of the Dark Side / Re: TRU "Battle of Endor" Pilot 4-packs

While I am glad Hablo is making specific rebel pilots, for those who like and want them, it's a great thing. I'm kinda more interested in just the astrodroids. I don't remember the R5-D4 body having the glued shut Early Bird R2 body though, oh well, cool looking droids no matter what.

I've only bought a few Vintage figs since they've been out and some my son just got for christmas. So combining with a 'Looks Cool in the Package' plus the few we opened, here's my thoughts:
Gen Grevious - though he has rubbery legs, he is very cool looking. Like the articulation of the arms, either as 'two regular' arms or split into four, the shoulder, elbow, forearm and wrist articulation makes for a great toy to play with - my son is very happy with him.
Magna Guard - Same as Grvious, great overall articulation makes for a great toy.
Dengar- I haven't opened him yet but looks like a very cool figure and toy.
Bespin Luke - He was on the xmas list but didn't make the final cut; but with some xmas $$$, we may still get him. THe sculpting and articulation make him a must have in our opinions.
Gamorrean Guard - one of the best - if not THE best figure of the modern, hands down. Great sculpt, articulation and though he can use a little 'manscaping' up front, a great figure!
Admr Ackbar - great looking figure that has been LONG overdue for an updated version and they nailed it!

I guess that's retail for ya. they mark UP the regular price so when they have a "sale" it equals out to what everyone else's regular price is. It's tough times all around and if/when the stuff sits cause no one wants or can afford to pay that.

Eventhough he could use a little 'manscaping' this is a very good figure.

"Hello, who do have we here?"
that was the sexist line in the entire series, imho!
I don't have any modern versions and really need to get a couple.

Looks like cut elbow and shouder joints to me but hope I'm wrong. Ball joint knees though. Hope this is a good figure, never had one so want to get a few.
