Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Surgery... Who's been under the knife?

*bumpety bump bump*

I go in at the butt-crack of dawn tomorrow for exploratory surgery/biopsies on my uterus.  While they are in there (well, the general region ;)), they're yanking out my gallbladder too.  The fun never ends ;)

Hope it all goes well for you, and they treat you better than our puppy. She went in Monday and they just ripped the whole mess out.

Although, if you're lucky, maybe they'll give you a cool collar too. ;)

Hey Brad, Tom Selleck just called and he wants his shirt back.

No. *******. Way.

Darth who? I wonder how many of Hasbro's target market for this particular figure have played/know much about KOTOR. Sure, he got the second most number of votes, but what percentage of the market do those votes represent?

I've seen KOTOR on the shelf, but never played it. I don't know the story, nor am I interested in this EU character. Even though I don't consider myself a movies-only kind of guy, I just don't support this choice, and I won't be buying it.

I just went to Wikipedia and looke dup Death of a Salesman. I thought Hoffman played Willy in one of the restaged Broadway versions in the 80's, but it was just the TV version in 1985.

Did your copy have Fredric March on the cover?

When you both read Death of a Salesman, did you picture Dustin Hoffman as Willie? I never saw Hoffman in the movie (or in the play), but when I read the play I imagine him playing the part.

Loved the ending of #12 with Cobra Commander sitting at a desk in the White House.

Anybody read AE?

Thanks, now I don't need to read it myself.

I agree about the AT-AT Anthony. As a kid I remember playing with the snowspeeder and AT-AT a lot, especially flying around and under the AT-AT like in the ESB comic novelization I had.

I'm undecided about this one. I like the air brakes, but wish I had a snowspeeder with a vintage style harpoon/cable. I have the vintage ship (minus the tow cable) and the Walmart exclusive, so another snowspeeder will need to be different enough to justify the space. Those air brake flaps are really interesting, but I'll wait to see it in person to decide.

I looked again and found a Boba Fett on the floor. I can let that go, even if the thread title is deceiving.

I think that the 19 year old should be put in prision for the rest of his life.  The child shouldn't be allowed on the internet unattended, and her myspace account should be deleted.  As for myspace.com, it shouldn't be sued, but shut down.  There have been so many cases like this, and you really don't know who's watching your profile.

Yeah! Shut down MySpace because a perpetrator went there to commit a crime!

... And let's tear up all of the sidewalks in town, too! I understand bad stuff has happened on them more than once. If there are no more sidewalks, the bad guys won't have anywhere to be bad anymore!

... And banks! Let’s close all the banks so criminals will stop robbing them!

Other Toy Lines / Re: Cars

Since I started paying attention, I've seen exactly one of these on the pegs - the other day at Target.  It was the (regular) Lightning McQueen - and the only one there.  I'm sure its long gone now.  Its amazing to me how hot these are right now, I feel bad for parents trying to find them for their kids.

Thank you. It really does suck.

We went to the movie yesterday afternoon. I took our two oldest kids (6 & 3) to Target afterward to look for a few cars and they had the tipping tractor and some playset that came with Mator and a build-a-Mator thing. We left the toys they had there.

It's sad, but we've gotten more Cars toys by luck from McDonald's over the last month or so. Both kids got McQueen, and one each of Doc, Sally, Ramone and Mator. If these Happy Meal toys hold up at all, we may just bypass the Hot Wheels type at retail all together.
