Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Deathstar Hall Shelf !!!!
« on: November 13, 2003, 09:05 PM »
no-wan, an awesome job on the display, nicely detailed. will you be expanding on this idea to make more of the death star? and did you think of perhaps including turbolift doors as part of this hallway? awesome stuff all around!

happy customizing!

Valtar, good paint job on the TIE, looks more like the actual prop now. I'd suggest staying away from the missiles if you're looking to keep the TIE more movie-accurate. Did you think of placing damage on the left wing to simulate the damage wrought by the Falcon at the end of ANH?

happy customizing!

TV-9D9 / Clone Wars toons to be 5 minutes long?
« on: November 2, 2003, 02:16 AM »
I just saw a commercial for the Clone Wars premiere on Friday and the commercial said "the 5 minute episodes begin this friday".

So is this a known change, or are they adding in 1 minute for the intro and another minute for the credits. Is the first ep just goin to be 5 minutes?

Anyone know?

Holy poop on a stick! I didn't think anyone would get it, yet alone get it this fast. Even though you didn't name the actual name of the furballs, I gots to give it to ya!  ;) Yer up next!

this is a bit tricky as its actually two characters talking to each other plus there's more complexity to it, but i wanna see if anyone gets it first...

character #2: "modern for sure!"

Muftak, again I've gotta say some really outstanding work. Your penchant for detail is amazing, especially in the anteroom near the detention cell. A nice nod to the vintage era with the background. How'd you go about making the computer console? And what's the next step for the Death Star? Keep up the great work!

Saga '02-'04 / Re: 3 Toughest SAGA Items to Find
« on: October 4, 2003, 03:20 AM »
I can only add to this based on what I've been actively searching for.

1.) Imperial Officers (either variant)
2.) Ephant Mon
3.) Acklay
4.) Theed Hangar Darth Maul (one that isn't damaged in some way, u couldn't imagine how many times I've found one of these and either the saber is broke, or the bubble has been torn open)

Hi Dr. Nick?  I watch The Simpsons but I don't understand why that reference is applicable here.

It's applicable because you titled this thread as  "Hi everybody" just the thing Dr. Nick says before entering a room :)

yes, yet again hasbro contradicts themselves. taking a look at the size of the tactical display, this item could easily fit on a standard single figure card. has anyone ever noticed how huge those bubbles are? just make the desk and "glass screen" two seperate pieces and you could stick the whole thing in there and it probably would still weigh less than Ephant Mon did....

Vintage Kenner / Best vintage deals you've gotten
« on: September 24, 2003, 09:22 PM »
I couldn't find a thread talkin about this so I thought I would bring it up. What are some of the greatest vintage deals you've gotten over the years, something to give us hope for the future. There was a time when I could get a great deal on something on ebay almost everyday, now i find it quite hard, but letsee what you've gotten that could be deemed a "greal deal!"

Here's some for me...

1.) Loose, mint, and complete (LMC) blue saber Jedi Luke for $15 at a time when this guy was going for $50 easy in that condition
2.) Loose, near-mint and complete w/ box Death Star Space Station at of all things a baseball card convention. EDIT: hehe oops forgot to mention I got the set for $50.
3.) All 3 POTF mini-rigs, LMC for $30 in 2 seperate deals on ebay
4.) 12 LMC figs for $70 that equated in getting me a great EV-9D9 and Green snake Yoda for less than $6 a piece!
