Yeah, I found the wave again at another Wal-Mart, but the old stock of vintage were not $4. Knowing the trick wouldn't work I bent all the deleted scene figure's cardbacks in anger and left.   >:D

Okay, I just left.   :)

I might be wrong...the next episode could take place before the Rako Hardeen 4-parter. But I was under the impression it's been straight continuity since the middle of season 3.

Sandstorm Leia
Sandstorm Lando
Mon Cal Pilot
Stormtrooper
Stormtrooper
Clone Trooper (Utapau)

$4 each.

Anyone wanna refresh my memory how to clean those yellow stormtrooper helmets?

One wal-mart still had 2 At-At Commanders. One had seven R5-D4's, escape Lukes and Ceremony Han's, plus Grees.

I got 3 of the 5 figures from the wave for $4. I should've gotten more, but I figured it wouldn't work and I was annoyed by Cracken's bad paint ops. It almost didn't work, because the cashier scanned the two vintage stormtrooper through at $4. Then the 3 deleted figures wouldn't scan. She looked and said "'Empire Strikes Back' and 'Return of the Jedi', not the same." Then she manually entered one of the ROTJ ones, nothing came back. Eventually she scanned a stormtrooper 3 more times. I said nothing. Just let it play out.

The next store I went to had no older figures left, so I couldn't try it again. Then the next had none of  wave 11.

All episode 1 figures still scanned at $8.96 or whatever. Not that I bought any.

Was Talzin dead/dying or did she turn to gas and survive completely. I wasn't sure.

Next week, back to bounty hunters and boy, does the Republic have a revolving door prison system.

Wow. You really ripped off that Target.  ;)

The zombies threw me for a loop. Was not expecting that. Oh, so the dark side can make undead? Those witches are making Palpatine seem like padawan.

I like how the moment he starts to lose, Grievous cheats. So true to character, he's such  a chicken *censored*.

Thanks, I saw some tonight, same deal. They had a Bom, Keyan, couple of Black Endor Rebels, etc. Decided to pass, but may hit them again at a later date.

I also saw an old TCW Deluxe set of Count Dooku and Speeder Bike in the red/white packaging, still on the shelf at full price for $16.97. WTF?

One of the worst selling Star Wars sets in recent year. One local store still had Gelagrub battle packs at full price.

The Super Battle Droid is new, SWEET!

Edit It's a training simulator Super Battle Droid from the Clone Cadets episode, repaint of the same old sculpt..... no new articulation. :(

Wait, so Hasbro used up one of the only 19 slots for TCW with a repaint of a crappy SBD...?

Not. Cool.

Esepcially since they could've stuck it a battle pack with Kamino training armor Droidbait and Fives or whoever. I mean, it's odd to make a training target when the squad isn't done yet.

There's a few easy options for CW battlepacks with little to no new tooling, but they sculpt new Episode 1 and ESB figures for them instead.

By modern prices that Hoth Battle set would be $50.

That Fett might look bigger than he really is because of 3 seperate images photoshopped together.

These fell very vintage-y to me. Call me crazy, but I like them. If more realistic styling/likenesses take precedent over articulation and price, I'm all for it.

Then the Emperor has already won...

(I had to say it.)

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: The Future of the Clone Wars Toy Line?

So...according to some questions asked at Toy Fair, no single carded scuba clone planned. Or maybe that particular deco isn't planned. Maybe'll they'll release the scuba leader at a muuuuch later date.  Either way, those planning a CW Scuba Trooper army are in for a headache.

Armored Oppress will return (at a date past the point when most people will care).

If the vintage line goes away, there you have the future of Star Wars.

Ironic, considering those battle pack figures are closer to actual vintage Kenner toys than what's on vintage style cards now.

Hasbro is tight with info lately (no slide show, somewhat less leaked figures on ebay). Can we rule out a 2012 mail-in yet? Have they officially said there would not be one?
