I feel the idea's sound, execution is completely wrong though...
Like, oh, say, pretty much 90% of Hasbro's ideas lately.
OK, that's a bit harsh, but let's look:
-Clone Army Builders... Overpriced and defeats the "point" behind army building. Beyond that, great concept.
-4-packs... Poor figure choices hampered an otherwise awesome idea. You sneak in SLIGHTLY new toolings here and there (new pair of arms, or a new torso... not a new figure, just a new part here and there like some figures seemed to get), and the idea's more sound right away. Just make right decisions...
I mean, imagine a Jabba's Palace set... Ephant's the "big" piece in the set, there's a Ree Yees figure in there, a repaint of Yak Face, maybe a new body for some reused arms/legs/head to make a Weequay Skiff Master, or whatever...
-Screen Scenes... Great concept if you're packing in new figures within a mini diorama or "big" accessory piece... Even army builders and semi-new figures or kitbashes would be better.
For instance, an Endor "briefing" set... Include a kitbashed Endor soldier, a Rebel Pilot repaint (new head would be neat, or reuse a "generic" head), and maybe a new or semi-new figure (Dressellian COmmando WITHOUT eyepatch would rock).
The idea's sound, the price is about right, the execution sucked... At least on these later ones.
