EDIT: NVM...found it!

URL says Rollingstone, but I can't seem to find it.

Also just for kicks.

It's utterly disgusting that you would even hint at that. I sincerely hope you were being facetious.

If I were being sarcastic, you'd see this -  ;) or this  :P.

It's disgusting that you think action figures are just for collectors and that a giant stormtrooper (or one that can fly) would not appeal to a 3-5 year old boy.

I think it's digusting that in light of all the other SA troopers this year and years past you wouldn't expect a better articulated figure...it wouldn't hurt to much. I didn't so much as hint that these are only for collectors...what are you reading? I'm sure (not being that "old" myself) kids can appreciate being able to pose figures. In fact, I'm positive that it's just as inportant to them as it is to anyone else.

its not that good.

Pshhh. I know you don't really think that. This is no time to be modest...you just finished an awesome project and made half the forum jealous.

Yes....they ended a LONG time ago. Did you even look at the Dark Horse website before you posted?

Hmm....I had a different idea of the character...must've missed it. Damn shame.

The game wasn't even that good.

[rant] After killing 500+ droids on the Tantive without dying once I realized there were better things out there. And surprise, when I went back to DOD (a Half-Life Mod) I found that playing against AI really doesn't help you develop as a gamer. If that's how you judge games, I hope you agree that BFII wasn't so great at all and therefore isn't "canon". [/rant]

They List him as Colonel (Later General) Airen Cracken.

That's interesting because I've read all the X-Wing books, which I'm assuming is the EU you're talking about, and they mentioned him at the Battle of Endor. Sounds like a lame attempt to make a connction, to me at least.

I have been looking at that pic for a while today.  I just do not get the attraction.  The figure looks like it belongs in the G.I.Joe line.

Zing! Isn't the product manager for the new Star Wars line the old product manager of the Joe line? I think I talked to someone on the team about it  at the 2004 or 2005 Comic Con.

Jocasta's Reading Room / Re: SW Legacy from Dark Horse Comics
« on: October 2, 2006, 06:11 PM »
well if you think about it, it tells alot about how this generation has been perceived and well as a member of it i can say : "is".

especially the ppl behind me my sisters era, their a bunch of Cade's, my guys are bit more Solo/Fett, but the kids right now, christ.....i really fear the day their in charge of things.

essentially cade is like having robert downey Jr. play Iron Man..wait a second they are..lol

or the big lebowski turned into a starwars...lol that'd be kool....

i love it either way,. just wish they could  fatten up the issues...

?

I hardly think Star Wars: Legacy is meant to be a social commentary on how deranged the world is. Comic books can be deep sometimes, but all in all, they're comic books, not 19th century novels.

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Custom Clone ...
« on: October 2, 2006, 06:09 PM »
I can't really critique the clone himself other than that he looks cool, but I absolutely love the holster and it's associated weapon. Great work!

Is it just me or is Hasbro doing to Star Wars what they did to the 80's GI Joe line?

Clearly they have been doing it to vehicles for a while but now they are clearly doing it to figures too.

Or to the Jurassic Park line?

I've already quit the basic line. Insurance payments kind of forced it upon me, but I'm only looking for the really interesting figures now. I know that in 6 months I'll be able to pick up the rest loose and in good condition here for way less, so I'm just spending on the figures like Mars Guo or perhaps another 2 or 3 this year.

Star Wars Universe / Re: Vong anybody?
« on: October 2, 2006, 03:43 AM »
You know, the Whole Vong Story Arc is a Rip of the Borg in Star Trek. I think it is the Lamest least imaginative piece of Eu that exist. I really hated that So Many Novels were wasted on that series. I miss the Good old Days! Give Us back the X-Wing Novels, More Tales would be Sweet. I do think the Clone Wars Stuff is Great, I put that right up there with the X-Wing Novels. I'm currently reading Tripple Zero, Great Stuff! I just don't get why people are hung up on the Vong Series. I have one Use for thet Series and its sitting on my Toliet Paper Dispenser.

[rant] Thank you! Jesus ******* Christ, finally someone with their head on straight. The best thing about the NJO was the Japanese covers. Nothing else in that series belonged in SW EU. X-Wing: Wedge's Gamble was 10x the better novel than Star By Star, and they didn't even have to kill anybody (*gasp) for publicity. [/rant]
