PTS, REB, AST, ST, BLK, FG%, FT%, and 3's are all scored equally; and Shaq only is good in 4 of those 8 categories.  There are at least 10 other players who are good at 5+ categories.  That's the reason for Shaq's 2nd round status.

Agreed. While Shaq might be good in some of those categories, he will kill you in categories like FT% and in Steals. I opted for someone who is a more well rounded guy, who may come pretty close to Shaqs Pts, Rebounds and Blks, but will kill him in the FT% and steal category.

Kudos to the Astros for winning a series!  Sorry to Jim but I'm glad to see the Braves get their asses kicked year after year in the Playoffs. 

Tis OK. As a Braves fan, I've become accustomed to post season disappointment. Even more so in the last 3-4 yrs where it seems they can't even get out of the first round. 

So now that I officially don't give a crap who wins the WS this year, I do suppose I'd rather see a Sox-Astros series. Would be nice to either see Bagwell and Biggio finally win one, or the Sox finally win one. So long as it's not the Yankees.

OK. I'm in now too as the 7th team in the league. I think my team name pretty much sums up my expectations for my first ever fantasy basketball league.

Jerome Bettis has scored 5 TD's already this year - now that he's the Steeler's redzone guy, I'm going to be starting him in place of either Travis Henry, Domanick Davis, or Michael Pittman from here on out (unless his production drops to none...)

So far, I've yet to see any of the ROTJ wave. And have only seen the ESB wave on 2 occassions. And I believe both were at a TRU. The same TRU. The other TRUs I frequently hit, have not recieved anything past ANH that I've seen. Quite sad really. 

Boy, not much love for my Braves.    But here are my off the wall picks.

Twins over Yanks (Yanks lack of starting pitching finally catches up with them)

Red Sox over Angels (Schilling and Pedro will just be enough for them to win)

Braves over Astros (Clemens hasn't been that dominating in divisional playoffs in his career and this will be Oswalts first playoffs so who knows how he'll perform. Not to mention the Braves have owned the Astros in post season over the past 7-8 yrs)

Cards over the Dodgers (Dodger's pitching won't be able to hang with the Card's offense)

It comes full circle this year for the Twins and Braves. 14 yrs ago, at the start of the Braves run of 13 consecutive pennants, the Braves and Twins met in the WS. The Twins won it then, but this year, the Braves will win it, capping their unprecidented run with a WS win...and then will fail to make the post season next year. But they'll at least go out on top when their streak ends.
