They have K-Marts in Australia?!? Wow, they can barely keep them afloat here.

Any signs of Jodo Kast?

Yeah,K-Mart here does pretty well overall and is nationwide.

As yet no sighting of Jodo Kast.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Your Opinions of George Lucas
« on: July 13, 2010, 04:42 PM »
Myself I've always been able to separate the person themselves from the professional identity they may hold.

e.g. Tom Cruise; I do not like him as a person but do own some of his movies that I liked his performance in.

I was a young child in the early 80's and do not subscribe to "George Lucas stole my childhood" line that gets bandied around by so many so-called SW fans.

Seeing TESB in the old style cinema in my city was awesome for me and I believe inspired my passion for the saga and now in 2010 I admit that the prequels have many many flaws but still I can appreciate it as a whole and am glad they were made at all rather than the backstory left untold.

Lucas did break new ground with the OT in flimmaking and inspired many others to do great work also plus the amazing galaxy with it's interesting characters, vehicles, concepts (like the force) he showed us all.

Over time his talent has diminished to make good SW films as is evident in the PT however I am glad for them all as they give a lot to me as a fan and I bear in mind no movie is actually perfect by definition.

So I would thank GL if I met him for the saga and how much it's entertained me.

I recently purchased off ebay one of the PS3's that is backwards compatible so I could play some of my fave PS2 games and still get the newer PS3 titles (as PS2 is no longer being made for new titles)

Watched Iron Man on blu-ray as my first blu-ray viewing and have to admit the sound quality is excellent when paired with my stereo.

Hurt Locker also was very enjoyable to see on it.

Still have the high end pioneer dvd player there to watch dvd and burnt discs and USB based files so have best of both worlds.

Picked up the TVC collection wave 1 figures I wanted from a local K-Mart here down under.

Another retailer was selling CW and TLC figures for $8.46 each so K-Mart price matched, interestingly TRU here is sticking to the 'street date' BS whilst K-Mart have no such policy.

I dunno about that guys, I think I recall CW 2008 stuff leaking out in Ausie land first.  Maybe not en masse, but I seem to recall it surfacing there before here.

Even if that is correct it would be the 'get a lot of things early' part I would not agree with.

I never care...  Ausies get a lot of things early I've noticed.  Good for them.  I have a Dak and AT-AT Commander already...  I'm pretty content to sit around and wait for the rest of it to hit.

I beg to differ. We haven't had anything before the US in a VERY long time. Last time I remember was a couple of years or so ago, and even then it was just role play stuff...

It's a neat box set, and I'm sorta glad that Mace's starfighter is getting made. I liked the paint scheme of his ship. The Mace Windu figure looks like the only downer in this set.

Mace starfighter = great

Mace figure being that particular one in the set is a dissapointment but expecting the SA knees version in a deluxe set is maybe being too hopeful.

I live in Queensland Australia and i can tell ya there not out here. I would say he probably lives in Melbourne where every thing comes out first.

I am also in Queensland Australia (Brisbane) and picked up one from the Target Mitchelton (Brookside) store on the 20th June.

They are around in Queensland and not just Melbourne.  ;D

One just has to make calls and track them down with the same verve Vader had for finding Skywalker in ESB.  >:D

Looks like Wat Tambor with on war machine style roids.

I like this "non-CW" series figure and look forward to acquiring one.

The Original Trilogy / Re: Why does Vader Die?
« on: June 21, 2010, 05:13 AM »
Vader's exposure to the force lightning played havoc with the electrically regulated breathing system that he had as his one and only life support.

Bar being in a hyperbaric chamber (like the one you see him in ESB) he could not sustain long periods of time without the mask and breathing system.

I concur....   ;)

Received two great figures from Prozac for reasonable price and he was honest on actual cost of postage and sent me a refund.

Integrity plus!!  ;D
