I can't really tell, but does anyone notice if Fordo has ball-jointed hips and wrists? At this day and age in Hasbro's sculpting, I imagine the figure does have the updated articulation.

Either way, I'll be seriously looking at whether or not I want to continue collecting at this point.

With prices that steep, I'm sure repack/repaint waves (like this one) are gonna start to fail - seriously, how can Hasbro expect collectors to buy figures they more or less already have, this time for $9+?

The Rebel Trooper has got to be the figure with the most accessories TVC will ever see.

Ok, so I went to Target yesterday, and I was completely disgusted by what I saw...

TVC figures for $10.79?! Absurd! I had heard from reports that Target had upped their basic figure prices by a dollar - which should have made TVC $8.99 (the original price in August, and even just a few weeks ago, was $7.99). But now the price has gone up a whole $3.

Is there any way to complain to Hasbro about these rip-off prices? I'm sorry, there is no way an action figure is worth nearly $11 + tax. Sure, I'm a sucker, and I'll probably keep ending up buying from Target, since I really have nowhere else (no TRU, no Walmart), so I'm pretty much screwed.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention SL and TCW went up $1, too. ::)

I love that Logray's elbows are articulated - it would have been nice if Wicket had the same, but this is the first time an Ewok figure has elbow articulation, no?

I'm really disappointed Hasbro left out ankle joints on Anakin and Ahsoka. They finally updated her with ball-jointed elbows, but they went downhill with no ankle joints. Every Ahsoka figure we have so far has ankle joints!

I like the Anakin upgrade a lot, and it's cool he has an extra robotic arm. A smidgen unnecessary, but still cool!

I don't really care for the Echo Base Trooper too much. :-\ I think the Hoth Rebel from TLC was enough.

Bastilla Shan looks really weird... and I was expecting to like this figure a lot, too! The head sculpt is sorta awkward looking, and I wish Hasbro would have slipped in soft goods robes. I wonder how big the plastic bubble will have to be to fit the lightsaber.

Whoah, that's really an impressive Nom Anor sculpt! I'm really into the EU, but I had never seen this guy before, but the sculpt is just really cool... I think Hasbro could have saved themself the trouble of trying to eventually fit him into those Vintage bubbles by giving him a soft-goods cloak, but whatever...

Aayla is just outright awesome! The Jedi Cloak is generous, really, since we never see her with one in the films, but I think the key points to the figure are the ball-jointed hips.

I really like the 501st Trooper - probably an eventual pegwarmer, but lately (except for the ROTS clone) Hasbro's been doing a good job with clone sculpts. But they just really need to take a break from the clones, it's getting old, and, besides, we see them all the time in the TCW line.

The Vintage Collection / Re: 2012 - "One EU Figure In Every Wave"
« on: February 13, 2011, 08:21 PM »
This isn't that bad of an idea - although I wish Hasbro would use actual pictures of the characters from EU sources (comics, cartoons, novel covers... etc.), but, judging by the Nom Anor card, Hasbro's using artist-drawn photos.

Glad they're finding a way to slip the EU back into the mix, they've been pretty anti-EU (except for TCW) lately.

Wow, I don't usually buy Han figures, but this one just looks so great! The Hoth Han is gonna look pretty lame right next to Bespin Han. Hasbro finally fixed the leg problem by giving him ball-joints!

A question - press release shots of Barriss Offee show her with a soft goods cloak. The displayed version shows her with a plastic cape - and it actually doesn't look half-bad, I actually hope that she comes with the plastic cloak. Has Hasbro said anything about which version will be released?

COOOOL!!

I never attend SDCC (just can't), so I'll definitely be looking out for these in retail. I've always been wondering what Slave Leia on a Vintage card would be like, so this is close enough.

It would have been cool if maybe some alternate future was shown to Anakin, where he had not turned to the dark side. Becoming a Jedi Master, living happily with Padme, had he not gone into kid-killing psycho and all.

I think, even though the same figure is being release for like the 3rd time (?), Hasbro did a good job by sculpting a more accurate head sculpt for the old Obi-Wan costume model. The only thing that bothers me is that the headset is sculpted into the head.

Grievous' speeder bike is a pleasant surprise, too. So is Boba with the poncho.

So it'll be a concept armor white Boba Fett. Hmmm. Wonder how different it'll be from the ones we've already gotten?

I thought the same, especially since we already got him in the TAC line.

According to a front-page report on Scum, there's a running card change to the Senate Guard. It's pretty early into this wave's release, too.
