The Vintage Collection / Re: Hasbro Q&A Sessions
« on: May 25, 2011, 04:52 PM »
Jeff, I did not realize we have be given him 5 years straight. Soon to be 6 years straight. Well, this should be the definitive Jedi Luke based on the new Vintage Luke tool. He has a cloak in the scene so we should get that, I just hope they go a sculpted route on the tunic robes so I can check that off of my want list.

And No Glove for this scene.

Not sure why I was thinking of this thread earlier today but I came up with something that seemed relevent here...

If the original intent during the OT was to make the universe look "Lived in" or "used" or whatever the term was, then it would have been great to see some of the Vehicles that the Rebels/Alliance used in the OT being used by the Republic or even Confederacy in the PT.

Growing up I assumed there were decades between the Clone Wars and "Star Wars" not just 16 or so.

I am thinking Y Wings, X Wings, etc...

And the Endor han is just the same Endor Han we've had for a while right?

It is all relative, with the price of gas and time spent, the fact the RFT is one per case and the unstable retail prices, I think paying appoximately $14 for a figure that will retail at $9 is not that bad.  Basically would I have bought them all if I found them at TRU or the Grocery store?  Yup.

Ok Transformer fans, the first one in the continental US to pm me with their address gets a freebie from the Site. An Optimus Prime preview figure with 3D glasses.

Respond here as well with "pm sent" so we know who is getting this cool item before they hit the shelves in too many places.  I will fedex it to you today.

Good Luck.

Shadows of the Dark Side / Re: New Taun-Taun (w/Luke) Rumor

Hoth is by far my favorite battle in the entire OT.  Anything from that little corner of the Galaxy is major win to me.

I love the Stirrups this time around  on that sculpt.  Bodes well for ball socket hips on the New Luke Figure.  I wonder if they will make us a Han Solo (in Blue coat ;)) with that added piece of articulation as well.

JJ, what makes the Scouts different from a regular Echo Base/Hoth Trooper?

Drop the Hulk and Wolverine and I'd say those are all in the Top 20 for me to an extent in a different order.

Hulk and Wolverine don't crack the top 50. (IF I could name 50 that is)

Ok the packs I grabbed have nothing noticeably new.  The hair color and paint deco seems the same on the Hoth trooper. The Empire strikes back inspired Death Squad Commnader is still wearing the wrong boots like he was at initial release.

And I kinda disagree I would like to see some new.

I found these today.

I picked up the Imperials and the Hoth set.

I really like these, if there was only still a Kay-Bee toys to buy them from then the Nostalgia circle would be complete (that is if they weren't Target exclusives)

The kids have a new Vader and 21B for their collection.

Saw it last night.  It was good. I have no idea what the thing after the credits is (even after reading the above posts) but I love that Marvel does that.  I also really enjoy the Stan Lee cameos.

Question - I just moved into my first home and have about 2200 dvd/blurays (well maybe only 20-30 bd)  I'm sure some of you guys have a lot of movies here as well and was wondering how you display/store them all?  I'm not entirely handy, but would like to build some sort of shelving system in my living room.

I don't have a collection that size, but all of our regular DVD's are in Binders with CD sleeves (think big canvas 3 ring binder).

Our Blu-Rays are still in their cases on an shelf.  Not sure what to do with them, especially now that most of the ones I get are BluRay-DVD-Digital copy sets.
