Collections / Re: Cory's Jango Fett Collection
« on: March 22, 2003, 01:00 PM »
This is an impressive collection that is focus-based, but I would LOVE to see pictures of everything Jango-related.  I'm not a focus character at the moment, but one of these days I will become one.  It's just a matter of which one of my favorite characters will I focus on.  Great job!

Collections / Re: OCB's Collection

OCB -- That collection is marvelous!  I absolutely love the way you have displayed all of your loose figures on that bookshelf.  My wife bought me (a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away) those same display risers, that you have your loose figs standing on.  I haven't utilized them yet, but when we buy a new home that has more room for my collection they'll get used.

It looks like these might be in your basement, and I have to comment on how lovely the wallpaper is in your room there.

Collections / Re: Received My Acrylic Case's From Oscar.

I ordered some cases for my Ephant Mon figure and it turned out sweet.  It took a while to get these from Oscar, but the wait was well worth it.  It's the one on the left.  The case on the right I ordered from wholesalecases.com's website.

I was always someone like Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3P0, ect. My brother and his friends always got to be the cool characters. Well that was until I was with my friends and we played. Then I was Luke.

That's quite an upgrade there, from the three you mentioned to Luke.  "Impressive... most impressive."  BTW, which Luke were you by chance... hopefully Jedi Knight Luke.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Your Favorite Star Wars Figure Line?

I'll tell you the one line that I never particular cared for, even though I love them in packaging are the POTF2 figures.  They're packaged nicely but most of the figures just look like they're on steroids or something.  The ones that make me laugh are Han Solo, Lando and Luke.

Perhaps the upcoming "POTJ2" line later this year (really the Saga line after the split from the Clone Wars line) might climb up the ranks as well, depending on what else Hasbro's got in their bag of tricks for the next couple years 'til Ep. 3 hits...  Hopefully some really cool stuff!

There's a POTJ2 line coming out?????  I don't recall ever hearing of that anyhwere.  Is Hasbro truly going to package their figures with the title "Power of the Jedi" again?  I do like their figures a lot, but too bad they're not easily available.

I just cannot wait for these figures to come out.  Too bad they'll never make it into any stores around where I live.

Watto's Junk Yard / Who did you pretend you were?
« on: March 22, 2003, 02:07 AM »
When I was a kid playing with Star Wars figures I always pretended I was Boba Fett.  He was (and still is) my favorite Star Wars figure/character.  Damn, that boy could fly, shoot flames/laser beams/harpoon line/rockets, was a bounty hunter, and just looked oh so sweet.

Who did you pretend you were when playing with your figures?

Watto's Junk Yard / Your Favorite Star Wars Figure Line?
« on: March 22, 2003, 02:04 AM »
What's your overall favorite Star Wars figure line?

Mine would have to be Vintage, because I truly think they look the best.  I'm not all for the "action" figures of today's standards, and I love how my Imperial Soldiers stand perfectly at attention.  They're not all humped over, or in some stupid pose.  They also bring back so many memories of growing up and playing Star Wars with my little brother.

Vintage Kenner / Re: fuzzy memories

There are just way too many to post here, but there's one that will always stick in my mind for the rest of my life.  When I was a child my family and I had a dog name Missy (part poodle & part schnouser).  I would always use her as an AT-AT, because I never had one as a child.  I would put either my AT-AT Driver or Boba Fett (don't ask me why about him) under her collar, and she'd walk around with a figure sitting on her back.  She was that AT-AT I never had.  Well, she's been gone for a very long time but I still miss her to the day.

There were llamas in Star Wars...

I could only dig up this picture, but there's a ton of photo's to proove Llama's played a major role in the Star Wars trilogy(s).

That is absolutely hilarious!  Great Photoshop work there!
