Saga '02-'04 / Luke - Jedi Duel
« on: July 7, 2003, 12:45 PM »
I looked at www.galactichunter.com  They have a preview of the new Luke figure.  I knew this would have action features etc.  But  I did not know that Luke's head would be in a permanent bent over position.  Kind of like when the barber tells you to lean your head forward in the chair.

I may still get the figure but it really will only look good in one position and that's it!!!

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Episode 3 running time...
« on: July 3, 2003, 12:56 PM »
If it's a wonderful 2 hours then it will be fine with me.  We'll see if it really is just 2 hours long.  How could they really know?  I mean they just started filming this movie.

I think I like just because it looks a bit like Luke's.   It was not what I was expecting.  Yeah, the glove is interesting.  I wonder what set he is on?

Yes, it looks nice.  I think San Hill looks better in this picture for some reason?  Not that I care I would buy it regardless.

That snotty thing is the Tauntaun's inards.  Apparently we can pull it of the split belly.  I guess its re-colored Acklay beast guts from that that beast.  Pretty cool.  I don't mind paying the $20 plus for this set.

Just need to locate it at retail :)

Over at Rebelscum in the SAGA area (yeah in the SAGA area for the time being) is the picture.  It's interesting.  Anakin looks like he has Luke's hair right after Luke takes off his Stormtrooper helmet.  Seriously, it looks like a 70's longer hairstyle.
He is pointing or something with his index finger up and looks like he is talking to someone.   This is his right hand with a Vaderesque looking black glove.
I am sure some people are going to hate the hair.
Oh I should get the link shouldn't I?  Ok, wait a minute and I will

Ok, here it is http://forums.rebelscum.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=36;t=006682

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Lord of the Rings
« on: July 1, 2003, 04:16 PM »
I like The Lord or the Rings series quite a bit but I'm that juiced for ROTK just yet .  I think it's because The Twin Towers was just in theatres in Dec.  I have not had enough time to miss the series yet.   Plus I am not really what you call a LOTR fan.  I don't know all the characters by heart or the story even.  I am not into it like Star Wars.  However, when the movie is about to be released I will be ready for it.  I will get the whole series on DVD for sure.  I think Peter Jackson has done a great job for their fans.

Celebrating the 4th with my side of the family and the fiance in another town close by.  There will be the familiar cookout, family arguement, fireworks watching and showing the little ones how to play with sparklers.  Good times!

The Prequel Trilogy / Anakin First Look - Ep#3

Apparenlty Hyperspace has or had some picture of Anakin with a Vader glove on his hand.  I guess he has long hair as well.  Anyone seen this yet?  Does Anakin/Hayden Christensen look ok that way or dorky?

I don't mind it either way to be honest.  I am getting them no matter what.   I still think each Jedi should have his/her own lightsaber.  We can always take it out of their hand to sit on the counci and discuss Jedi business.  Oh well, it's not a big deal anyway.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Your Break Up Stories
« on: July 1, 2003, 01:55 PM »
When girls would break up with me they usually were too chicken to tell me in person.  I have had notes passed to me, her friend's tell me, or simply not call back.  I always told the person I was breaking up to them in person face-to-face alone.  I just think it's the proper thing to do.

But the worst one I had a few year's ago was this girl sent me an email at work to say "I don't want us to be exclusive anymore.  I want to date other people.  What do you think?"

LOL!  What do I think?  It was just a really odd way to break up I thought.  Especially after going out for 6 months, meeting each other's family and other stuff I thought this person would at least have the decency to call me up.  Especially since I always treated her well.  I can understand a person not wanting to see me anymore.  But this was odd.  Plus she never talked to me again after this.

Later I heard her friend tell me that she was really upset the way she broke it off with me and was sorry the way she did it.   How she wanted to be my friend again, etc, etc.  To this day I have never heard back from this girl.  So, I don't know what really happened there.

Breakups are really odd for some people apparently.  I have seen a lot weird and wild breakups.  In the end it is better just to break off all contact.  So, I did not mind it after awhile.

Well, it was December 8, 2002 when I proposed.  We had actually been waiting on her ring to arrive since we had special ordered it 6 weeks prior.  She wanted white gold instead of the gold they had at the store.  So, she never knew exactly when the ring would come in.

The night before the store called me and said it was in.  So, I wanted to get it done.  Because when you are ready to propose you want to do it NOW!  Well it was Sunday the next day.  So, after church we would usually eat lunch at my parent's place in town.  This time I drove past their turnoff and she asked me "Are you going a different way?"  I said "Yes, we need to waste some time.  Mom said she needed some extra time for lunch today.  Let's just drive around."  My fiance was like "Ok."

I drove to her favorite park in the area.  She looked at me funny because we were in a park in the wintertime.  I said let's get out and walk around.  She looked at me funny and smiled because she had an inkling what I was going to do.

I took her over this bridge of water and we sat by a park bench.  It was a nice pretty setting.  I told her all sorts of nice things about her and proposed.  She said "Yes!" of course.  I had a dozen red roses for her that I hid in the trunk.  Then we went to this fancy, expensive restaurant to celebrate.

So, I went the quiet personal route for the proposal.  It worked well for me :)

I don't think I usually start something on one site and add it again on another.  However, I will reply to the same topics on different sites.  Sometimes one site does not have many members participating in a thread while another sites does.  I don't actually sit here and think " I will post here and then post it over there to."  It just happens that I visited one site earlier and then the next site.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Padme as stormtrooper!!!
« on: July 1, 2003, 11:21 AM »
Hmmmm, I should get to work on a custom pregnant Padme stormtrooper.  Actually my custom skills from 0-10 are about a 1.  OCB did a really good job with ICMG.  Maybe he is up to that challenge :)
