The Vintage Collection / Re: Tonnika Sisters coming?

...if we ever see them, I bet it's an exclusive at SDCC or something of that nature.

I think they'd be perfect figures for a show exclusive.  --edited--

Time to pick up some drink stirrers.

The question is, do you buy them in bulk from the grocery store, or do it the fun way -- one at a time at the pub?  ;D

Has anyone been able to confirm whether R2 is a different electronic version than the one we've seen released in the past?

I believe I've got this accurately:

Wave 1
MH01 - Shock Trooper (Ep III)
MH02 - Super Battle Droid
MH03 - R2-D2
MH04 - Battle Droid
MH05 - Darth Maul - 1 hand on saber
MH06 - Darth Vader
MH07 - General Grievous
MH08 - Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ep I)
MH09 - Yoda
MH10 - Qui-Gon Jinn
MH11 - Clone Trooper (Ep III w/jetpack)
MH12 - Destroyer Droid

Wave 2
MH13 - Jar Jar Binks
MH14 - Anakin Skywalker (Ep I)
MH15 - Darth Maul - 2 hands on saber
MH16 - Obi-Wan Kenobi - light-up saber
MH17 - Padme Amidala
MH18?? - Qui-Gon Jinn - light-up saber

OK, didn't think so, but gotta ask the experts.

Thanks for the great info Jayson!  I've been wondering if these were all repacks, but since they use the BAD mold, I definitely need to pick up this set to add them to my astromech display.

edit -- They haven't done R2 with the BAD sculpt yet have they?

That ain't gonna be pretty.  :-\

Vintage Kenner / Re: Latest vintage acquisition

I've been wanting to finish off my loose collection for years, but the cost of the POTF figures has always held me back.  I bought a couple figures last year, then someone offered me nearly every figure I needed and I just couldn't say no.  It was certainly more than I planned to spend at once, but the seller was willing to break it up into payments over 3 months.  The Blue Snags I purchased recently was actually part of this lot, I've just finally gotten off my ass to post pics of them all here!

This is a fantastic diorama!  Great background art and the wooden walkways are amazing.

Only 9 points separates 2nd and 5th place.  It's anyone's game.

Thanks guys, I couldn't be happier with it and it's definitely one of my favourites.  I really never thought I'd own one.

I'd like to go back and pick up the other earlier "series" ornaments that I missed, as well as the vehicles (I collect OT only on both).

I really like the "scene" ornaments and have been tempted to search ebay and see what they've produced in the past.

I intend to enjoy my collection at roughly the size it is for another 10-15 years (picking some up, selling some off), then whittle it down to the kubricks and a few other favorites. I'll talk to my daughters when I am selling parts off, to see if there is anything they remember particularly fondly and would want to keep. If I go before then, I've given my wife the tour of the spreadsheet so at least she will have a starting point to get rid of whatever they want to.

I like this idea.  Enjoy all of it for a number of years, then reduce it to a more manageable size down the road and see what my kids might be interested in.
