Watto's Junk Yard / Re: 'The Hobbit' movie

Finally saw it this past weekend and loved it. The pacing was great...did not feel like a 2.5 hour movie at all. I think it helped a lot being able to jump right into the action without a long build-up.

Agree with all the comments about the 3D HFR, I always see that version first but the rapid "closed-circuit TV-esque" movement is very distracting, much moreso than the first installment. I look forward to watching this at home on Blu-Ray.

Sad that this is the end of that world...Jackson did an amazing job breathing life into this universe over 6 films.

Sylvester Stallone announces 'Rambo 5' title

If it's anything like #4, I'm in. That was some epic graphic violence.

Hmmm....6" scaled Starfighter coming for Ep 7? (RS leaked list)

That thing is gonna be massive. I figured we would get a Dewback or Landspeeder before any of the bigger ships.

Edward Hermann

Gilmore Girls my arse! He'll always be best remembered as the creepy father-figure from Lost Boys!

Was getting worried I had missed out on clearanced Shadow Squadron sets @ Target but I was able to find 2 at the 2 farthest Targets on my search vector today. ($35 each - nice)

Once they took that thing off the website I figured it would become scarce quickly.

So...new Millenium Falcon unveiled. Other than the square radar dish does not seem all that wildly different to me. I was hoping for some flames on the side or a couple of new rear spoilers.

I do.  This was my first instance ever ( albeit as a bystander) of a potential cheating seller in that manner.  I find it curious.

Yeah, I do too. As a frequent buyer/seller this is not something I have experienced firsthand over the years (that I know of) so I find it curious as well. I hope it works out!

Got the Prison Gate and Tower building set for X-Mas...yay!

I'm all caught up until the next series of blind-bagged figures show up, no idea when that will be though.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Recent Clone Wars Finds/Purchases
« on: December 25, 2014, 09:40 AM »
The December 25th Daily Deal at Entertainment Earth is up to 71% off a selection of The Clone Wars action figures and battle packs from Hasbro.

15 different basic figures, four battle packs.  Old stuff, but some good army builders in there (BD, SBD, Droideka).

Link goes live at Midnight Pacific on 12/25 so I haven't seen the final prices yet, but thought I'd post now since I'll be busy tomorrow with family stuff.

Thanks Jeff! This was a rare EE sale I could actually jump on...picked up 2 battlepacks and 2 figures for $30 total, not bad at all.

I think it's cool to see these just as proof that there will be figures cycled in dynamically to the line outside of the previous 6 films. I thought they might wait longer to roll these out but I guess Hasbro wants to capitalize across multiple lines, which makes sense.

They appear to be well sculpted but none of them seem particularly interesting. Even the Sith guy looks less than imposing.

I just hope this kind of sudden character infusion doesn't hold us back from getting 6" stuff like Bib Fortuna, Dengar, Zuckuss, etc sooner rather than (years) later. At this rate it's going to take a long time to get through just the key OT characters.

Broke down and ordered Tacit Ronin off Amazon last week and as it turned out, I found him on the pegs today at my local TRU. (Yes, insane day for a toy run) My order arrived later this afernoon so looks like now I have an opener.  ;D

These are $10 5 POA figures with ****** sculpts/likenesses/decos. No one will buy them!!!!1!!!!11!!!  ;)

LOL....I have spent at least twice as much on ReAction stuff this past year than Hasbro. I dunno, something about being able to walk into a store and actually find figures on the pegs appeals to me!

That is a mind blowing new list..BTiLC?!? Shyeah!

A petition?  Really?  I am not a fan of the way they did it, but if that many people care to complain about it then job well done for Kirkman and team.  Getting that massive of a response just shows they did the right thing in having a meaningful death.  They have to get rid of main characters from time to time to keep it exciting and fresh.  Would people rather have seen someone else go?  Rick? Carl? Tyreese? Michone? Daryl?  Carol?  Pick your poison people.

I actually would have preferred Tyreese or Sasha. Or Tara, or Rosita or Eugene even. I feel like those characters have sort of come to the end of their own personal journeys whereas Beth could have gone in a number of interesting directions post-Dawn. I kinda felt the same way about Andrea though too, so it's nothing new I guess.
