Received my first one today, and it was double boxed. The inner was the thin one I think everyone has been talking about (it said rocket firing boba fett on the bottom front). The outer was double the thickness.
The card is wavy, but other than that it is perfect. I'll just plant some books on it and see what happens-

I picked up the AT-ST set today- I like that the packaging isn't over the top, but it does make it a little harder for a gift giver to see the $40 worth of value-

I'm not a fan of the way Wal Mart stores handle (or fail to handle) exclusives, but site to store is a pretty slick system. Just picked up my Jabba in a minty box- thanks to everyone who keeps posting when these show up on the site!

Found the battle packs and two packs today at a Minnesota Target- I picked up the Crisis pack- not a bad looking set of figures, although $25 does seem high for 4 figures when 2 are duplicates.

Finally got around to opening the 2nd Han Hoth and giving him some series 2 Han hair- that ends up being one excellent looking figure! Too bad Luke has the painted on chin straps

I'm liking this series, but I do wish Medicom had managed the chases and figure ratios differently.
I don't understand the AT-ST pieces being figure specific- that means they manufactured a whole heck of a lot more legs than the rest of the parts, and what is the sense in that? I do understand that people would want to be able to build an AT-ST by buying just the 6, but it seems like there should have been a way to make a second with the other 6 in the box. Heck, I would have liked 2 of each figure in the box of 12.
I'm just having a harder time with the more expensive boxes, and feeling like they had less in them Give Leia a weapon, or lipstick tube, or something 
But I do like the series- despite the two paragraphs of griping-

« on: September 16, 2010, 04:31 PM »I see that the Biker Scout that comes in the speeder bike box set has a battle damaged uniform. Does anyone know if the bike itself differs from the bike that comes with the Luke and Leia set?
I'm not positive, but I think that there are indeed some coloration differences between the two, most notably, the pouch behind the seat.
I bought my Luke and Leia set boxed and sealed, and a loose Bikerscout set from Stealthtank, and they are identical as far as I can tell. Color, weathering, even button colors are all the same.
