I was able to pick up the X-MO:W Colossus basic figure at a local Wal-Mart yesterday.  If the line truly is dead, what a way to go out.  Nice figure.

The Gladiator/Braveheart thing was great between the buy-both-get-$10-off thing, and then the $10.00 back by mail on each for existing DVD owners.  By the time I get those rebates, and sell my existing copies I'll end up having paid about $10 for the pair.

I did the same thing.  I just mailed out the rebates tonight.

Who knows, I can't even find Fraser listed on the cast list at IMDB.

That's because it was an uncredited cameo.

Neal, did you see the race in Montreal last year for the Nationwide Series?

No, I didn't see it.
I do agree that it would be fun to see who the "real" drivers are, but still ... the chance of crashes would increase tenfold.

I'm not sure if I'd like to see stock cars racing in the rain.  With the slick tracks and the lack of traction on the tires, I think things could get rather messy.

Target is also having a sale on Joe figures.  I think they were $6.54 or someting, they were more than $1 off, I know that.

They're on sale for $6.49.
Around here, most Targets still have the figures selling for $6.99, so though the sale price is nice, it isn't as impressive as it could be.
I have a Target coupon for $2 off any Joe figure.  I'd like to use it during the sale, but I'm not sure who to pick up.
Any recommendations?  So far, I have Storm Shadow, Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes, and Destro.

The upcoming Galactus looks really awesome and much bigger than the Toybiz version.

He is ... nearly a head taller and significantly wider.

Meh - I will pass on all these.  I didn't like the face on the Wolvie Series brown suit Wolverine, but this one looks a bit odd as well.

Agreed.  I still like the various Wolverines from the X-M:O line better than either of the two that the MU line has given us.
Plus, my Comic Pack Wolverine has two left upper arms.  Wonderful.

Neal care to share intel... is it the Secret Wars Captain America or the single pack?

He looks like this.
He has different boots, small wings on his mask, and a different paint job, but it's definitely not the figure shown on the back of the package.

The Fwoosh has a closer look at the first wave of Secret Wars comic packs.

I got an even closer look.  I picked up the three sets at a new, local Target that opened today.

I picked it up today. I'm not sure of any specials/package variations. I got mine from Target and it had a 3-D slipcase. Inside the case was a pamphlet advertising the Ultimate Edition, coming in December, with the Black Freighter and Hollis Mason stuff mixed in with the movie. I kinda wish I'd held off from getting it today.

Thanks for the information.  For that reason, I will not be picking this up today.
