Imagine what this season would be like if it was only the fourth book.  If I remember correctly, Tyrion, John Snow and Daenarys were all not in book four.

I am also seeing a lot of "I liked it, but certainly not as good as the first one".  At this point, I don't know where I put if yet in relation to the first Avengers.  I've only seen it once, and I had both my kids with me so I couldn't give the movie 100% of my attention.  I certainly enjoyed it.  My wife wants to see it, so I may get another chance to see it in the theater.  If that is the case, it will be the only MCU movie besides GOTG that I have seen twice in the theater.  At this point, I think this movie will definitely be in my top five with Iron Man, Winter Soldier, Avengers 1, and Guardians.  Not sure what order I would put them in though.  We will have to see how Ant Man does to see if there is any Marvel fatigue.  I think it is safe to say they are still miles ahead of DC.  While Superman v. Batman will make a ton of cash, it does not look anywhere near as good as Age of Ultron was.

Thanks!  I found their website and will check them out!

Did they work out for you?  My Dooku saber took a tumble the other week and broke the acrylic case so I'm looking to the case replaced.

For a movie that has been dreamed of since the Burton era of Batman movies, the trailer is underwhelming.  The electronic modulated Batman voice makes one long for the days of the Christian Bale smoker voice.  At this point, they might as well cast the Wonder Twins and Gleek for comic relief.  While the movie will make untold millions, it won't touch Avengers 2.

Hot Toys were always more expensive than Sideshow's own stuff.  With the prices that SS has charged for figures like the TIE Pilot and X-Wing Luke, this seems like a bargain.

I had thought Sony had F4, so ignore my comment about selling to Marvel.  Fox may want to sell F4 since the reboot is going to bomb.  However, I believe the rights to the Skrulls are attached to F4 as well as Galactus.  I think those rights are more valuable the F4 itself.

Sony had wanted to set up their own universe around Spiderman.  If they are rebooting Spiderman again, I would have to think their Sinister Six plans have had to change.  I don't see them keeping any of the actors from The Amazing Spiderman 2 if they go ahead with the project.

I'm not saying it would be the right way to go, but I bet it is definitely being discussed.  I am surprised that Sony is going ahead with their Sinister Six idea.  If F4 bombs, I wonder if Sony is going to look at selling the rights back to Marvel.  I think they are only holding on to Spiderman because they can make good money on it by loaning it out.  I don't think Sony has what it takes to make a good superhero movie at this point.

I would also say the chances of a non Peter Parker Spiderman are at least 50/50.

You're crazy.  The whole world knows Peter Parker as Spider-Man.  Peter Parker movies have made Sony $4 billion.  The circulation of the Miles Morales Spider-Man books is 30,000 (77th highest of January).  I see the chances of a non-Parker Spidey somewhere south of 1%.

Sony made the Human Torch African American.  Casting non-white actors is the hip thing to do in Hollywood right now.  Even though they are doing an Antman movie, Hank Pym isn't going to be Antman and he isn't the creator of Ultron.  A lot of what has been done in Marvel cinema has been from the ultimate universe.  Peter Parker has had five movies in the past 13 years with a reboot just three years ago.  This next reboot will only be five years after the last one.  I would think casting a Hispanic actor would be quite tempting.  I'm not saying it would be the right move, but I bet they are kicking it around at Sony and Disney.

Anyone think that Sony is hedging their bets on the F4 reboot?  This could lead to things like Galactus and Skrulls in the MCU if Sony makes a similar F4 deal.

I would also say the chances of a non Peter Parker Spiderman are at least 50/50.

It isn't a Hollywood decision as much as a Disney decision.  Disney isn't going to let the property sit idle after acquiring it.  A reboot is the only option after the last movie.  Ford can't carry the series anymore and they would be crazy to hand it over to Shia LeBouef.

LEGO / Re: LEGO 2014

This is the only year I have seen them sell out.  I had found all of them on clearance up to this year.

I had trouble with them this year as well and had to end up paying extra on amazon.  I am guessing that they made less this year since lego.com is sold out and so are all the stores.  My local lego store said they sold out of all of them in the first week of November and that they never got any new stock.

The other thing to remember is Disney/Marvel still own all the non-movie rights to the characters.  If people are still going to buy X-Men, F4, and Spiderman comics, it would only cost Marvel money to not put them out.

The problem with that assessment is that F4 is never going to be a success on the level of Avengers or Spiderman.  There will probably be a time in the not to distant future where people are going to tire of all of these comic/superhero movies.  All of these changes are going to irk the hardcore fans, but that really isn't the audience for the picture.  However, when you tell the actors to not bother reading the source material, it makes me wonder how committed FOX is to the property.  Honestly, I don't think they would intentionally put out a bomb and waste all the money involved in production, marketing, etc., but I do think that selling the rights back to Marvel has to be on the table.  While I don't think Marvel would have a burning desire for the heroes,  I think they would love to get the cinematic rights back for Galactus and the Skrulls.

You have to wonder if FOX is trying to have this film bomb so they can try to sell the rights back to Marvel and just concentrate on X-Men.
