Other Toy Lines / Re: Dawn of the Dead Figures

This will not be a new line, but will be part of NECA's Cult Classics series. A second figure has been confirmed.

I found the Sentinel wave yesterday at Wal-Mart and picked them all up except Mystique (they only had one and her hand was broken). The Sentinel is definitely worth picking up all these figures to get. Great job Toy Biz!

Other Toy Lines / Re: Halo and Halo 2 Toys

I played around with these years ago before they came out at Gencon and was planning on picking up a couple, but the price was too much IMO. My roomate has the Halo 1 Black Master Chief; it's pretty good but something is a tad bit off about it IMO. I used to collect the smaller versions, but my Suncoast never had any new stock and it became a hassle tracking them down, so I stopped.

I saw an article in Toyfare that they are going to make a line of Disney exclusive figures based on the actual ride as well. The line features a bloody skeleton with a sword through his chest, making him the goriest Disney figure to date.  8)

It's not worth what it used to be, both loose and carded. Free him from his plastic prison.  :)

It is fun pushing the carts with your car though. We used to get them
set up in front of my friends car then gun it, then brake all of a sudden so the carts went flying through the lot at 60 mph   ;D
Now THAT I'd like to see -- it bet its hysterical ;D

It was fun...until our boss came running outside screaming and called the cops. We quit the next week.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: How's your shopping Karma?
« on: October 26, 2005, 04:06 PM »
I try to help people as well. Life is too short to get mad at trivial things.

My karma is going pretty good  ;D I believe (in a way) everything that goes around comes around, and I try to stick to the golden rule. For instance, I have been helping a newbie on Rebelscum. It turns out he lives in my hometown, and saved a Gree for me. If I had just got angry with him or refused to help, I wouldn't have that Gree.  8)

Seriously though, what's the story with this guy?  I'm not up on all my RS forum drama, so I'm completely in the dark as far as this person's past transgressions.

Since you asked...

He first showed up as Greenday101 on Rebelscum. He told me he was new, so I was more than happy to help him. After about a week I found out he was lying about a lot of stuff, and he begs for forgiveness. I decide to give him a second chance, even though I really shouldn't have. He then re-registers as Stormie45 and tells me he is 21 and a whole lot of other lies. He isn't smart enough to keep his stories straight, and is caught again and again and again, begging for forgiveness each time. He kept spamming me with PMs on Scum, GH, and here. To make a LONG story short, he keeps coming back, but is easy to spot.

His aliases are:

commander bill
commander vito
mr. el lucco
Hugo man
Greenday101
RYDER!
darth_yaddle
darth_vaddle
Stormie45
Vaderman

and a few others that I can't think of at this time. He's just a troll and not worth my time.

Same here... If he is with me and the corral is more than two cars away, I'm leaving it- as carefully as possible, however.
Last year there was a woman who actually had her baby stolen (I don't remember if it was with the car as well) while she put the cart away.  The heat/cold is enough for me, but with that, it just makes it worse.

Yeah Shannon, I remember that.  It happened in 2002 -- I can't beleive its been 3 years.   The mother was taking the cart back to the corral at a Walmart in Abilene, TX when someone took her 1 month old out of his carseat.  Quick as that.  I decided then and there that the cart was staying where it was when the kids were with me.

I used to be a "cart-boy" (hangs head in shame), and I can tell you, it sucks going after those carts people leave all over. I don't mind the ones that if it is cold out, and there isn't a corral near, or you have kids or something. The ones I don't like are the one people are too lazy to put away, like the ones where a corral is five feet away and the jerk can't make the effort to put it away. Or the ones people just shove out to the far off edges of the parking lot, so when its raining or snowing you have to make a 5 minute walk to get this jackass's cart.

It is fun pushing the carts with your car though. We used to get them set up in front of my friends car then gun it, then brake all of a sudden so the carts went flying through the lot at 60 mph   ;D

I picked up The Big Lebowski Collector's Edition yesterday at Best Buy for $12.99 . Its got some cool special features, including an exclusive introduction, behind the scenes, and photos taken by Jeff Bridges during the production. I would have liked it to have some more special features, like footage from the Big Lebowski "conventions" or deleted scenes, but "the Dude abides"  8)

TV-9D9 / Re: SPIKE TV gets all the films!!!
« on: October 19, 2005, 04:29 PM »
I think this could be a good thing. Spike TV has done a good job with movies before. If they bought it for that much, you know they are going to try to get their moneys worth by showing them all the time  ;D It also said in the article that they would have stunts and marathons to promote the films and raise Nielsen ratings, so it will be cool to see all the stuff they do for it. Maybe by showing it on television more than it is shown now, new people flipping through the channels will see it and become addicted. ;D
