Hey Hasbro! / Re: do not need more REHASHES!
« on: June 10, 2005, 09:57 AM »
Depends.

I'll take rehashes of clones in different colors!

And you can rehash the VOTC stormie like you did in the Evo set as many times as you want... :P

Very cool.   8)

Must be nice to make a living doing something that is worthwhile and wholesome!

My son who is 2 years old loves books - especially ones that have vehicles or Thomas the Tank!

Saga Collection '06 / Re: VOTC and OTC Returns in 2006!
« on: June 9, 2005, 05:41 PM »
I see a lot of talk (is that possible?) about a $10 SRP.  Let's not forget that nothing has been disclosed in regards to price.  Hell, for that matter the idea is not even official (although it's highly plausible).

Personally, I think they will go away with the fancy dancy packaging and produce the figures we have come to love from the OT - super duper detail (ala the VOTC).

I forsee a retail price similar to what we see now - $6-7.

I won one of these off of ebay for $13.51 but I'm waiting for someone to leave feedback on the seller....he/she has a big fat 0 right now - I wasn't born yesterday (though some may disagree!   :-*

Huge fan of the show - and I must admit the past few years have been a struggle, although this year was pretty damn good.

Yeah, I'd fork over the doh to see a movie - though I wouldn't expect much.

It's times like this that I really enjoy being the casual collector that I am - meaning I buy what I like and pass on the things I don't!

Quite possibly - I think you're right.

I think it's time you joined the Dark side JM, and just collect loose - it will allow you more money and less frustration....but you already know that!

Revenge of the Sith / Re: What figures are hard to find now?
« on: June 9, 2005, 02:16 PM »
To reiterate a little, Target had a ****load of Commanders and I pondered too long in regards to picking up some extras...now they are long gone.

Nemodians are sitting, as well as the secondary Jedi characters.

The baddies sell well in my area - Dooku, Vader, Emperor (sans the purple garb), and of course - CLONES!!

Dressel hit the nail on the head - but the funny thing is, these off the wall clonies are selling.   :o

Just imagine how hard it would be to find clones that actually had a decent amount of screen time!

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS Recent Purchases
« on: June 9, 2005, 02:10 PM »
That's nothing to ashamed about. I doubt they will ever go to clearance. I have a hard time not buying one everytime I see them. I'm up to 4 already. I figured that since I saw 12 x-wings, I can still play catch up.

I can't believe how well the Gunship is selling.  We've seen 3 total version of this tooling now...I was sure that this third ROTS version would warm the shelves and I would be able to find one on clearance near the end of the movie's run....

Definitely looks like a mock up - this had the potential to be a cool set...could have made it a Sith vs. Jedi kind of theme or something along those lines.

Let's think about this for a sec okay?  If you want to sell a ****load of these things, do something along the lines of the trooper Evo set.

Throw in an exclusive SA Blue clone (raid on the temple), kit bashed Vader, Obi Wan with cloth cloak, Ani with cloth cloak, Palpy, plain white #41 clone, Greivous, Yoda (soft goods), & a red royal guard.

Throwing a bunch of figures into a box and painting one of them just doesn't make much sense to me...but this is coming from the company who can't keep clone troopers on the pegs...

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What's spinning?

NIN With Teeth for the longest time - though I'm getting sick of the political crap that is following him lately (see MTV movie awards and track 4 - THTF.

I hate when musicians combine politics with music - it's lame and cheapens the music.  Plus it alienates fans.  This is the first for Trent, and it affects the way I hear / view his entire music catalogue now...sucks really.

The musical "high" that I once achieved from his music is no more.

The new Audioslave is okay, not near as good as their first effort - just as I predicted, they took the APC route and mellowed out.

Currently I have Pantera's "Live - 101 Proof" spinning - nothing better than some good old fashioned  kick ass heavy metal to get you going in the morning - RIP Dimebag.

Contemplating the new System of a Down......

Oh my - those Lohan pix are depressing.  She was such a hottie before, now she looks like ****!

Anorexic does not equal hot.

Maybe those boobies WERE real after all.... ???

At first, I didn't want it figuring I'd grab the figures later.  Then once I was pretty sure this was the only chance to get these figures (learning that it was a -time deal, NOT the kick-off of a new line), my OCD kicked in and I got one.

It won't suprise me one bit if these become available later on. I didn't take the chance either, but Hasbro has been known to fudge quite a bit when describing the rarity of a given item to create initial hype.

The "$135.00-Super-limted-to-only-5,000-FAO-Scwartz-Exclusive-Imperial-Shuttle-that-later-became-available-at-KBkids.com-for-like-$60.00" comes to mind.

Don't remind me of that fiasco...
