Hi Doc,

You're right - the re-issuing costs for Hasbro would be minimized if they re-released items like Solo, Yoda, Boba, etc.

But I think it's against their "internal" policy to re-release an unleashed figure that has already seen the new cardback.

I think they're afraid that sales will not be maximized if they re-release an item that was just out at retail not long ago.

Funny how Jango and Maul almost killed the line (that would've been funny, two figures in the entire line) and now they are highly sought after...sorta.

Here's hoping a forum member can help me out!   ;D

The Windu FX saber WILL be re-released.

I think a good price below SRP is about $90 - you have to be diligent though.

I cannot comment on the "improved" electronics.  I would like to purchase a Vader FX saber  - looks like fun.

Kind of a neat idea.  Maybe under Classic Character, in small print, the label could say: "Not in Actual Movie" or something similar.

It'd have to be the Cantina Han though, I could never find that figure if my life depended on it.

This is a pretty cool figure even though it's a rehash (is that true)?  I can't put my finger on where this version of Vader came from...

Anywho, my 2 year old loves this darn figure!  He goes crazy everytime I remove it from the star case and he starts pushing the voice button, he especially loves the breathing sounds, it's funny when he does it!  - I must admit the sound quality is very good.

It's difficult to convey to him that he can only push the button - we always sit down together after a toy run and open up the figures - but not exclusives.

I'm getting off on a tangent, but last night I dug out the old POTF2 AT-AT and 12" TaunTaun and he went bezerk playing with them.  Can you believe the original batteries still work??

Wish I were still 2 years old - the AT-AT must look pretty cool when you're only 3 feet tall!

Yeah, I've noticed the nice abundance of commanders and pilots and lack of gunners...I still don't have any of those.

I'm debating whether or not I should buy up some of the commanders...I already have two but this is my favorite figure so far!!  Gotta love the double holsters and awesome paint scheme.

These guys make great custom fodder - remove the skirt and repaint the red to blue or yellow - at least that's my plan!!

Yeah, I don't get Hasbro sometimes.

Rehashing "in-demand" figures benefits the collector and Hasbro.  Their mold costs are zero and we get what we want.

Jango, Maul, Vader II, stormie, IG-88, Yoda, Fett, Solo, and Padme need to see the light of day again.

Chances are you won't see most of the above again because they've already seen the new cardback.   :-[

Yep, the ARC is the ship to get if you're in the market for only one.

I must admit I'm disappointed with the AT-RT - I don't like the deco of the figure and it doesn't walk for ****.

Maybe I'm expecting too much for $20...

Found the AT-RT and picked up the four armed Greivous.

Funny how the package art for the AT-RT trooper is totally different from the camo figure that made production....wonder what the reason for the change was??
