In the novelization, Anakin walks by the dead Jedi and looks at them for a moment before moving on.

Yeah, that would be rather sick to see Kit Fisto's head smiling at him from Palpatine's desk.  >:D (in a twisted way)

Its too bad we can't go back and see it done over again ;).

Sounds a bit like Battlestar Galactica.

And Lucas could totally do this... special edition prequels!

Couldn't resist... I caved today and bought the Corran Horn set. I stood there for an hour debating if I should buy it or not, and now I'm debating if I should take it back and keep the cash or not. ::)

I hope you literally didn't stand there one hour looking at them.  ;) I don't think they are worth that much time to glance at.

The sad thing about it is one of the best SW movies (Empire) is languishing in 34th place while the other 5 are higher (sure I think ANH deserves to be at #3, but the prequels?)!

Yes, but being the 30Anni of Empire, a cold, snowy place like Minnesota would fit right in.  ;D

Nick, I think most people love it, it's just that Hasbro has ruined it for some. I just collect the carded figures for the most part, and some Battlepacks (which used to be a good deal). But if the prices for repacked vehicles were $20-35 are now $70 is a few years time, it's like becoming one of the sisterhood in Shawshank Redemption. SW figures are now at the $8-9 range, where similar GI Joes, which come with more accessories are cheaper. Plus, we get 'accidental' variants or running changes to make carded collectors have to buy another Breha Organa.  ::) I just think that it weighs heavy on people after awhile.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Funeral Pyre Vader w/ Luke
« on: July 28, 2009, 10:27 PM »
I'm one of the Padme lovers that Jesse hates.  ;)

I would love to have a funeral pyre Vader, and I like the idea of lights and crackling fire to it, but I'm one of the collectors on a budget (and a critical wife) which at times makes me really have to think whether a set is worth it or not. I'd be happy with the set without the effects, too. I don't necessarily need another Luke to accompany it, but like Jay says, it's an iconic moment, like Luke staring at the Twin Suns on Tatooine... it's moving. I would be happy to have a 'new' Vader on the pyre that's built into it. Just like the funeral Padme, she doesn't need any articulation in my opinion, she laid there with her arms cross on the hover-hearse.

The conversation I had with Derryl DePriest about this seemed to indicate that they hadn't slotted the figure elsewhere at all.  At least when I spoke with him at SDCC.

Which is odd since they designed the figure along with the two variants of the Ughnaught, and presented said figure. They could easily pack it in a different wave instead of Clone Trooper A, Anakin, etc. that are fillers.

I think the logical place for the clean shaven trooper might be in a battle pack.

It could show up there, but I hope it shows up as a carded figure so I don't have to be 2 repack figures to get him.

It doesn't make sense that they include him in wave 7 yet not the second Ughnaught... though I'd prefer both get a fair chance at being found than not.  :-\ Here I thought I was done checking for TLC blues.
