Collect All 92! / Re: Greedo
« on: September 29, 2010, 08:49 PM »
The soft goods vest make it easier to remove than the plastic one of the comtech chip
Vintage Greedo depicts boots which Greedo never used, but is nice as an early interpretation of the character.

I think in vtsc version, the fingers could be longer because it would be difficult for the figure to grab the blaster.

I think that tvc Yoda facial expression must be reviewed, not a expression of combat readiness, because we didnīt see Yoda fighting in the OT, but a expression of wisdom, or an attitude of kindness and understanding toward his padawan Luke.

A more calm expression in other words.

This tvc Yoda, which is scheduled for november depicts the fighting expression... More like "Donīt mess with me battle droids or Iīll make you fish tins."

Between vintage and votc exists a considerable diminution in size
tvc Yoda from rotj needs a utility belt and a snake to be complete.

Currently Iīam reading Phases of English Poetry by Sir Herbert Read

A clear and academic essay which deals with the topics, periods and motivations of the finest poets in their development of their best work.

A must to read if you want to get insight into English literature.

Here is a biography of the author:

I got today 24 sept the TVC bEspin Luke Skywalker, nice detail, but I donīt know how he bends his left arm. In other sites I saw his legs bent at knee joint, but in this toy seemed impossible.

I really liked this figure, is the first TVC item I bought.

Jocasta's Reading Room / Re: The End of 'Legacy'
« on: September 24, 2010, 02:23 PM »
Is difficult to predict if this series war are the end of legacy, because, darkhorse has created an antihero, Cade Skywalker, troubled by his growth in the force, his adventures, his findings about the dark side
He is very different from Luke Skywalker, his ancestor... he did what Luke never did... experiment with lethal bars (the current drug in the sw universe), moreover he needs more tension in his relationships than Luke, for example there is big strain betwwen he and the imperial knights (other kind of force sensitives... not Jedis, in some way in struggle with them)

Something I would like to know... when Cade, Syn, Blue and some guys speak in huttesse... it seems that they are replaying only Jabbaīs lines from the OT classic films? (E chu ta is an insult (this word appeared in Bespin the protocol droid), pattesse is a nickname....), but, is Darkhorse willing to expand Huttesse out of the classical records?

I recognise, Cade is more often tempted by the dark side, because his healing power is growing near the strenght in the force of Darth Plagueis.

A clearer end should consider if Cade would return to the Jedi order, until he becomes a full Jedi, or if he definetely abbandons the order, the series should suggest adventures of the succesors of Kol Skywalker, Shado and company.

Both Hans are cool, what would happen if Hasbro Kenner has painted vintage bespin han boots? , they tried to improve the toy in the carbon freeze Han, but omitted to paint the yellow strips on his pants.

The likeness of potj Bespin Han is very accurate, but fans want to see another version. I think this one on the tvc would balance sculpt and articulation, and avoid very thin legs since the votc Han.

Rotj Yoda from this wave lacks his utility belt, which may go around his coat.

Nice wave, realism on gamorrean guard is amazing!! Canīt appreciate the Yoda details, hope he comes with trousers like the 1980īs release. Ackbar is a cool update, also a must for collecting. I wish Luke card was different, perhaps a photo of him with Vader on the bridge, where they talk in rotj. He could be called "Endor Capture Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight)".

About Rebel commando, is not clear whereas he is bald or not, but his outfit on previous photos is decent and nice.
Woof looks as the evolution of Klatu, perfect figure.

The stripes from nose to chin are an accurate detail depicted with the modern version release.
Also is nice to see the belt with holster.

These improvements are also an update of the saga version tie pilot, version that couldnīt grow taller but Hasbro enhaced his details.

Although vtsc snow trooper stance is corrected in saga legends 2010 release, it would be nice if Hasbro made in the future a bit taller snowtrooper.
