I've run into Hasbro Reps a couple of times. They never seemed to have any interest in the Star Wars products they were selling and knew little about the line. They could not even tell me what figures were in the latest assortments  that were shipping. If I was so uninformed about my job I certainly would not have it for long. I am so amazed at how little feedback the collecting community gets from Hasbro. You would think in the information age that we live in, Hasbro Design and Marketing represenatives would be swarming these sites, comming up with great new product for us to buy. Has anyone ever seen a Hasbro Employee post on a Star Wars Collecting Site?

That would be the smart thing to do and you think the obvious way to get what the collector want and their money. Really in most cases I don't think Hasbro gives a hoot, but I think there would be at least one Hasbro R&D person reading posts, or I'm I giving Hasbro too much cedit? ::)

Chewie,
Love that idea, I would buy one or two ;D.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: TRU Exclusive Dagobah X-Wing

I think the ARC and Gunship are good toys, but they're prime examples of ships that, to me, are simply toys and don't display well enough for me...  I hate the way troops look inside the hold of the Gunship for instance, and it just bothers me.

21st would do a great job on SW ships...  It won't happen and I"ll keep ships as a customizing focus, but 21st (or BBI or whoever) would knock them out of the park, without a doubt.  It's the equivalent of SS taking over the 12" line really...  There'd be absolutely no competition at the end of the day.

I think the same thing about the ARC and Gunship. I think the Gunship is way to under-sized for me. It leaves to much work to make it look right.

If 21st C did do Star Wars vehicle, it would blow away the competition. I only wish Hasbro would go the extra mile when making the vehicles as 21st C and bbi do on their stuff. That would Rock and I might have to start buying them again, but like that will ever happen.

I agree with you, Jesse. I like my vehicles/ships etc to be in scale. That is one reason why I sold/traded all my vehicles. The other reason is that most looked to toyish. I want some great looking pieces for my collection. You collect 21st C stuff don't you? I wish Hasbro would do what 21st C has done to their vehicles. More accurate, great detail, and great scale for a good price. On the creatures I would like for them to make more articulate with the great sculpt like the figures. That would be totally cool, but i don't see it happening anytime soon.

Really I can't see why everyone is complaining about scale on the dragonsnake. For one Hasbro is making it and two if you look at the bottom X-wing in the picture and the dragonsnake it looks to be scale to me. We have never seen the whole creature to begin with, only its back. My guess would be that it would be smaller than the X-wing. The mouth looks big enough to eat R2 even in the lower part of the picture. We shouldn’t jump to conclusions on this without known how those pictures were taken. Plus if scale is a problem for you, how do you deal with any of the vehicles Hasbro has made? Most are not even close and the ones that are close must not cut it for you. Even the Speeder Bike is over sized and they should have been able to nail that. I’m glad to get another of the more true scale X-wings. I only wish they would do the same for the Y-wing and the AT-ST among other that could be done to a more true scale.

I’m in need of a few parts. Need Yareal Poof head, hands, and feet/chins, along with Myo head and hands. If anyone can help that would be great. I have a trade list link here if I have something you may need. Also if you need some parts, just ask and I can see if I can help. Thank you for looking.

Sorry to highjack you thread Dre, but which version of the Torrent do you think looks better, the one for CW cartoon or the one from the behind the scene drawing? I might give this starfighter a shot, but want to know what others thing is better looking.

I have for sell a Hunt for Grievous battle pack MIB at cost plus shipping. I also have 2 loose Arcs Troopers from a battle pack for sell. I would take $5 each plus shipping on the loose Arcs. Thanks for looking.

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: Customizer's Block???
« on: June 4, 2006, 12:45 AM »
those sounds like some good suggestions chewie! for the head on the far left, the cyborg looking one, i was thinking a captin typho torso, admiral motti legs and i really don't know on the arms, mabey admiral motti as well!

Or go more of the droid route with him to add to the cyborg look. You don't see many like that in Star Wars other than Grievous. Oh and Anakin and Luke with their hands and some EU characters, but don't know much about EU. I have a custom in the works with a robotic leg that I need to finish up.

Maybe a stupid question, but what is the V19 torrent? I don't think I've seen this, if I have I can't place the name.

Looks cool, even like a cobbled together Swoop bike if painted different. One thing I would suggest would be to add a cannon were the anti-infantry gun was. Great job, plus I love the Speeder bike and Swoop bike the best.

Ozzel with his eye and how Hasbro really mess up them making him look up and off to the side makes him look as if he is trying to get away with something or he needs one of the bubbles above him with his fantasy within it ;). Awesome job on these glassman. Any chance of offering the casts for the ladies?
