Try, using a WWII O2 Mask or a GI joe. Another Idea that might look cool, is putting a crash helmet over the Fire SPeeder Pilot's head. Either way your off to a great start.

Can't wait to see the finished product.

Interesting idea with the Firespeeder Pilot helmet. I might have to track one down. I was trying to use mainly parts I had on hand for this project, but the blast shield and some other stuff from that helmet would be cool looking to work with.

I think the Stormtrooper armor looks good, maybe add the Stormie's leg armor too. This looks like an interesting group.

I was thinking of doing something like that like using the right chin armor for both legs do to it had no knee guards. I might still do that. Thanks again for the help guys.

jedistyle,
Thanks for that insight. I'll have to explore those options. Thanks

Here is what I had in mind for the armor.

It has the Stormtrooper chest plate photoshopped over the Clonetroopers and the waist of Stormtrooper over the Clones to break up the look from all the other clones. To show what I have planned. You can just see the difference do to the flash. I'll see what I can do if anyone wants a better look. Thanks

I haven't picked out a color scheme yet. I was thinking of using Rebel Commando (Scorch) type teams to be deployed from the craft, so their colors would be some what like the game characters. Maybe even some type of paratrooper type teams, using Parjai (ARC Trooper/Clonetrooper) type custom even. It all depends on what I can get in the line of parts for the commandos, but I haven't even started planning for them yet.

I have this idea I'm working on, but I can't quite nail it down. The project is a Clone pilot for a custom commando drop ship that I would say is like a Colonial Marine Drop Ship in terms of roll. The helmet is the part I need help with. I’m trying to going with a jet fighter pilot look with some Clone trooper mixed in. I also want to add an air mask that would work just how fighter pilots use them. High altitude and dogfights mask on, and low altitude off. The craft is going to be small with a crew of 2 and quarters for about 6 commandos with gear. Here is what I have so far:

Any thought or suggestions would be great. I want to break away from the traditional Clone pilot look for the helmet. I think I have the uniform nail down. Last thing is the helmet. Any colors you have ideas about too would be helpful also. Thank you in advance for your help.

No offense to anyone, but I'm kind of amazed how many people are saying $20 plus shipping for two figures is a good deal.  I say $20 should get me 3 super-articulated figures at the very least, like with the Evolutions sets.  Four or five "regular" figures, like the battle packs, is also good.  But two?

Of course, I also think the VTSC is very overpriced (I don't like paying for packaging) and I've gotten really picky with basic figures now that they're around $7 again.  I hate sounding like a grumpy penny-pincher, but the prices are starting to drive me away from buying as many figures as I did just last year.  Several times recently I've walked around a store holding a figure only to put it back because it just didn't feel worth it.

Sorry for the increasingly off-topic complaining.  At least this exclusive has some newly-sculpted bits... but I'm still not buying it.

I just saying it is a good deal as far as exclusives go. Look at most and they are priced $13+ just for one figure. It's not so hot for basic figure price, but everyone is trying to cash in on Star Wars lately and their exclusives big time, which I think is do to them planning for Star Wars hype to end soon with the way everything dropped off after ROTJ in 83, but we all know if the figures are great that won't happen and with the plans for the TV series. Plus I don't ever think Lucas will let Star Wars fade ever. Someone will carry the torch on for him.

If you look closely at the prototype the torso is different than the ROTS Royal Guard (more plates than the ROTS one). Also the arms look to be ball-jointed at the elbows. Even if they are not the arms are different also (look at the gauntlets/gloves). If I was guessing the upper body is a new sculpt over the ROTS version, but we will have to wait and see if I right until SDCC. I don't think it is all that bad for $19.99 for a 2-pack, but I want to see the mystery figure before I jump for joy. Like someone else said the SWS Wedge was $13 and nothing was new on him, just all repack (Dutch body and SS Wedge head & helmet).

PS: they state he has 12 points of articulation, so that would be everything minus the ankles.

I dig the colors of the Jedi Starfighter. One suggestion would be to add some weathering, make it look like it's see some space travel.

I have a long shot of a request. I'm in need of two Bacara helmets. Would be willing to buy for a reasonable price, or if you are needing anything just ask. I don't really have a parts list to post. I have a trade list with links to my other lists of stuff I have to trade. I thank you for looking.

I still can get six set of all five as of tonight (5/26) with some singles of Solo, Greedo, Raider, and Biker Scouts, so if interested don't wait. The cost would be $10.69 with tax each, shipping depends on where you are and how many you want. ;D Thank you again for looking.

Anyone going that would be able to pick up per-orders for someone else? I don't even know if they do that type of thing, but it would be worth a shot. I would even be willing to through in something extra for the time. Thanks

I can get them for anyone for cost + shipping and maybe something a little extra for time/gas. There are many of all of them, but would need to act fast if you are interested. Paypal would be the fastest, but non-cedit/debit card payments please. Pm if interested. Thanks for looking.

-ROTS 501st Clone Trooper from Jedi Temple Assault Battle Pack

How about a ROTS #41 SA or ROTS Evolutions in a 501 paint job?

I figured I would restrict my list to straight repacks.  And I don't think that the #6 Clone is a terrible figure in the grand scheme of things.

I would disagree with that do to the #41 clone doesn't have that stupid action quick draw feature and the shoulders look better on the #41.

You're entitled to that opinion.  But the thread was titled 5 most wanted repacks, not 5 most wanted repaints.  And like I said, IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS, the #6 Clone Trooper is not the worst figure ever issued by Hasbro.  A little persective is not a bad thing.  After all, I didn't list the original POTF2 Stormtrooper for repacking.  THAT is an inferior figure.

I didn't say anthing about repaints, only that the #41 Clone is the better of the two. And yes I do agree that the #6 is not the worst figure Hasbro has issued, but they are capable of some much more.

Would anyone happen to have the chain from the TSC Chewbacca that they would sell or trade me? I don't have a list of parts, but if you are looking for something let me know and I'll see if I can help as well. Thanks
roron corobb

I recommend buying one of those "jewelry" chains from a $.50 machine (or if you're lucky, a $.25 machine).  I've used them in the past and they are pretty much a perfect size to the chain on Chewbacca.

Thanks for thet infor, I would have never thought to look there. I'll have to check it out.

Jesse, you said it and I don't think I could have said it any better. I totally agree, but I can't pass up on the Momaw Nadon. He looks awesome and Ithorian rock, but again yes Hasbro did short change us on him with articulation. If he didn't look as good as he does I wouldn't be getting him. On the other two they could have added ball-joints to the knees with very little work. If you look at other toy lines that are big with everyone they all have great articulation, because kids don't want action figure that are statues. That defeats the purpose of the title action figures. Sometimes I think Hasbro is a machine that  can't be reprogrammed and is always making bad mistakes then repeating them, that is why we keep getting the short end of the stick with them. Look what they did with the 3 3/4th GI Joe line. They tried that before with changing the scale, and we all know what happened with that. The only smart thing they did was keeping the 3 3/4th scale line around, but only on-line which is bad.
