Maybe the coins are scraped from the scum off Hasbro HQ's toilets and minted into "shadow" coins (with aromatic odor).

Seriously? Shadow coins? I can't stop laughing this is so silly. I'm glad that my NYR is not to give into Hasbro's gimmicks. Thanks, Jay, this really made my day.  ;D

Can I laugh?? Serious, Hasbro, shadow coins? That's like jumping the shark!

Ripcord? Leader? Hmm, that wouldn't fly with the old-school fans I think. I could maybe seem him lead a mission, but be the Joes' overall leader? I can't see it. I do think he had a cool roll in the comics series when he went "rogue" on Cobra Island and had that fight with Zartan while searching for his girlfriend (or her Crimson Guard father).

 ;)

As much as I'm not an Eli fan, I think I'd prefer the Giants over the Cowboys.  :D

Another thrilling chapter.

Entitled, "Oops, I did it again, part 506!"

I just can't believe that the police took that much back-up for that. It doesn't seem like she had a weapon or anything, but you would think so with this quote
Quote
"It is total craziness here; we don't know what is going on inside but it cannot be good," an eyewitness said at 11:15 p.m. on Thursday.
I suppose it was being considered a "hostage" situation since she wasn't giving up the kids.

As for lil' sister, I don't think she's a whore and I haven't heard people saying that, but I agree with those who say it's dumb to be "shocked and awed" by the news. If you're doing the deed without any contraception, it's like the old saying, "If you play with fire, one day you're gonna get burned." Hope this child has a better, stable life than his or her cousins.

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: Your DEFINITIVE top 3 wants!
« on: December 31, 2007, 04:00 PM »
Of the top of my head (will have to research more when I get home) Okay, the 3 I'd most want at the moment are all from AotC

1. Meadow Picnic Padme
2. Owen Lars
3. Beru Whitesun

Man, I wish this could be a top 10 list. Might be easier.

How many different colors do we have now? blue, red, black, green, orange?

Delta 7:
Red = Obi-Wan
Teal = Generic Clone Wars
Blue/White = Plo Koon
Green = Kit Fisto
Orange = Saesee Tiin

Modified Delta 7:
Blue/White = Anakin

ETA models:
Red = Obi-Wan
Blue = Obi-Wan 2
Yellow = Anakin
Green = Anakin 2
Purple = Mace
Black = Vader
Blue/Gray = Aayla
And we still have alot undone  :P
Kit Fisto Eta
Ayala Delta
Azure Angel 2
The Clone Wars Anakin
The Clone Wars Kenobi
Saesee Tinn Eta
Kit Fisto Eta
Yoda Eta and Delta (He actually had an Eta!  :o)

Yes, but you forgot that they'll redo all of these with Hyperspace Rings!

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: 30AC Wave 8 - Attack of the Clones
« on: December 28, 2007, 11:03 AM »
Padme is one of my favorites from this wave - I think they did a pretty good job with her, especially compared to most of the SW female figs.  But Hasbro, would it kill you to make a figure with something larger than an A cup?   ::)

I agree with you. Padme's my favorite of the wave. Sure she isn't an "action figure" in this scene, but she doesn't require much articulation to be a good figure. As for chest size, Natalie Portman isn't big in that area, so I think it's fine. I recall that NP made some comment about the breast size of her AotC Arena Battle action figure on David Letterman being flattering.

Nicklab has an excellent point as well by pointing out that Hasbro holds some responsiblity here.  Their website isn't being used to communicate information adequately.  Fan sites are going to post what information they can find.

I agree with that, too, Chewie. If Hasbro wants to be the presenter of new goods, they should put more effort into their site. But that SW site is not very informative I believe most collectors look to their favorite SW collecting sites, like JD, to find their news.

Well, Shockey is better than Eli... so what's that say for your QB?  ::)

Not without Shockey, I'd say. Despite being an Eagles fan, that's a tough loss for the team.

I didn't know Nick Cage played for the Bears under the name of Orton... now it makes sense why they suck.

Although I'm always ready for more/new information, I guess I don't mind if we get it in doses throughout the year.  I don't necessarily like having only Toy Fair and Comic Con be the times when we actually get concrete information from Hasbro about the upcoming year's releases.

I wouldn't mind if Hasbro handled product news like the QnA where one QnA participant a week is given a true exclusive tidbit on new merchandise, rather than denying the existence of a known product or the happenstance of the right site asking the right question on the right cycle.

I like that, Jay! That's a good idea.
