Watto's Junk Yard / Re: 2004 DVD Release List (UPDATE: THX-1138)

 :P

Real post:

Yeah, for as great a movie as it is, you're right, Schindler's List doesn't exactly have the repeat-viewing factor of, say, a Office Space.  I even bought the (very good quality) bootleg a year or so ago, scanned through a couple of scenes, and that was it.  I've never been able to make the emotional investment in it to sit through it again.

 :-\

But I do think is that it's important enough of a film to own on DVD, and maybe someday the mood will strike me to watch it again.

Believe it's supposed to be selling for $16.99 at Target this week--lower than if you even Shared the Love. . .

(Beware the foolscreen, too!)

Saw Schindler's List was $17.99 at Best Buy this week, not really interested in picking it up...seing it once was enough for me.  Nothing against anything and its a great wonderfully powerful movie, I just don't feel the need to watch it again :-[

Yeah.

I know what you mean, Virex! 8)

Hey, can you stop quoting huge posts, only to add a one-sentence reply?

Thanks.

From the New York Times this weekend:

April 4th is a Sunday, though, and it's awfully late in the game to announce something like this, so I'm thinking that this date is off, but it's official:

Every movie Lucas ever directed will have been released on DVD before the three most-important. . .

Yeah.

Can I be your Linda Ronstadt?

Can you suck the disgusting, slug-like mole/birthmark thing off my eyebrow?

If so, then absolutely.

I've also got a trailer-hitch which needs some de-chroming. . .

Maybe I'll pick up that Ritz DVD on Ebay at the same time I finally get around to picking up the 1992 Oklahoma DVD, too.  Thanks for the tip.

And I myself, have never heard any of the Tracii Guns stuff.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I finally got my "Welcome to the Videos" DVD the other day, and just now realized that my purchasing it, along with the UYI DVDs, is perhaps a sign that I officially have more money than I know what to do with.

Well, not really.

But man, it sucks too.

Of course, we all know that "You Could Be Mine" was left off, due to the T2 footage (and the video has been left off all the T2 DVDs because of the GN'R footage, natch) but something I just realized:

They didn't include the "new" videos they did for the "Live Era 87/93" release back in '99!

IIRC, they did a "new" video for "Jungle"--which was just a compilation of a bunch of live footage.  I think they might have done a similar one for "It's So Easy", too, but I never saw that one.

Thanks, Geffen/Universal, for throwing the fans a bone, and including the new videos with the new DVD.

Oh, wait.  You didn't.

"Copyright 1998".  Good stuff.

Jesus Christ, the older I get, and the more I think about this band and their record label, and how things have been handled by everyone involved, the more disgusted I become. . .

Guys, I think Virex, can sense things, he can tell the future, he thinks he knows everything.  Which is not true! ;)

I don't know much, Mainland05, but I know I love you.

That may be all there is to know.

Yeah, I'm thinking about ordering two boxes as well--should get at least one complete set out of those, and whatever duplicates I have left over should be pretty easy to get rid of, either by trading or selling. . .

Today 3000 Yen = $26.97 US

Not bad, not bad.  Around $3.50 each, not counting shipping, I guess.

HLJ has been good for most of us ordering Kubrick's.  Dale orders a fair bit of other stuff from them as well.  I've also ordered other Tomy items and have been completely satisfied with them.  Shipping is fair for overseas.

www.hlj.com, I'm guessing?  I'll check them out.

I'd grab two sets and sell off the spares.  JMO of course, but easier than trying to chase one down.  I guess it depends on what the spares are.  If it's the mystery piece, two sets for sure.  Jawa or Tusken maybe ebay as they might not be the hot pieces.

Well, it was the Tusken I was wanting a double of, actually.  Hmmm. . .

Thanks for your help, Brent!
