I usually hate Sandra Bullock, but now...

You just now caught that?  Lame-ass. . .

Anyway--you guys must not be searching Google too hard for me, because here's Matt Birchall, playing basketball up in Idaho:

Man, it's a good thing that guy who's throwing a fit about Wuher's-only posters over at Rebelscum isn't a mod or anything over here at JD, or else I would have been banned months ago!

. . .Wait.

Uh--I'm into Star Wars, and I've got a whole room full of junk to show for it.  But (as OCB can verify), I've been "talking about Star Wars" on the internet for, like seven years.  What's left to talk about?  The old movies rule, the new movies suck, what toys are coming out next?

I still check the front page every day, and I browse the Saga (and now OTC) forum every once in a while, but really, there's not much to say.  Usually, if I have anything "interesting" to add on a Star Wars subject, while reading through a thread, I'll find out that someone else has already addressed that topic for me.  And, sorry--I'm not a "me too!"-type of poster.

And Colman hit the nail directly on the head with his post over there--I've been involved in several different online Star Wars collecting communities since 1997, and many of these people I consider my friends.  Sorry--not gonna give that up just because I don't want to talk about Star Wars 23 hours out of the day.

Hope you're reading, Duthro. . .

:-* my ass

Why, I never!

(runs off to create a "Get rid of OCB" petition)

. . .

To be on-topic:

I think that it should be a new rule, that all of the Oscar winners each year have to get together and make a new movie together to be debuted the weekend of the next Oscars.

So, next year, we'll have a movie written by Sofia Coppola, directed by Peter Jackson, and starring Sean Penn, Charlize Theron, Tim Robbins, and Renee Zellweger--and then made by pretty much the entire crew of Lord of the Rings.

Let's make that a rule.

Dang, this reminds me that I need to watch Lost in Translation and I wish I could have seen Mystic River before this weekend.  I think ROTK is a lock for best picture and original song now that Pearl Jam isn't there to play spoiler...its a shame Sean Astin didn't get nominated

My picks:

Best Picture: ROTK
Best Actor: Penn
Best Actress: Theron
Supporting Actor: Robbins
Supporting Actress: Zellweger
Director: Jackson

BTW...keep bowing to my Skillz

Yeah, way to really put your balls out there with those picks, man.

Clap, clap, clap.

Did you even see anything besides ROTK?

Floating heads aren't really my bag...but especially any member of Smashing Pumpkins.

See if you can conjure up a similar avatar with an Adam Duritz head.

It's funny--Adam Duritz stinks.  And I'm not even talking about his "music".  He literally stinks.  I had the "pleasure" of standing in line next to him last year at a basketball game, and he smelled of some combination of feet and cabbage.

As for his "music"--I'm just glad I'm above bashing someone for their musical tastes. . .

I believe M & C won some award for sound-something, that I thought it beat out Rings for, but I heard wrong, apparently. . .

And I can't wait for 2006's Oscars!  Star Wars is gonna kick Rings' ass!

Preach on, Brother Gregggggg!

Couple things--

Bill wuz robbed!

Mikey Goonie was crying.

Andy Serkis should have given the acceptance speech, in Gollum-speak.

Wonder if Uncle George is watching this evening, as he continues the post-production on III. . .

And finally. . .

How come Michael Moore didn't present any awards tonight?

 ???

Regarding Lost in Translation--anyone else heard yet (I'm sure Tydirium has) that it's a slightly-autobiographical story about Sofia Coppola (Charlotte), Coppola's (now ex) husband and music video/film director Spike Jonze (Charlotte's husband), and Cameron Diaz (the ditzy blonde actress in the hotel)?

No word on who Bill/Bob is supposed to be. . .

4289
Sorry to rain on the Oscar parade, but--besides Angry Ewok--is anyone sick of my avatar yet?

I'm beginning to get annoyed with it myself. . .

Let's all thank Peter Jackson for dressing up for the evening.

I didn't catch it--is he wearing shoes?
