Saga '02-'04 / Re: Target Has New Items
« on: June 19, 2003, 06:41 PM »
Just came back from a Target that at first check, still had empty pegs. Then, I spot on the shelf hidden behind some old Action Fleet ships, one of the 2003 figs. I start getting excited as I see it's the Yoda and Chian figure that I still need. Then I held it up to inspect it. So much for getting excited over it. I'm guessing whoever went out of their way to hide the figure was also the one who took the tab that actually holds the fig on the peg and bent it all the backwards and making this a non-mint card which I have no interest in.  But in an effort to get even with this culprit, I hung the fig back on the pegs in hopes that someone else will buy it before the one who hid it returns.

Oh, and Brent, I'll have to check with the wife but I'm pretty sure that if you show up to move in and you don't have a Canada sweatshirt for her, you'll probably be sleeping on the patio.  ;)

Saga '02-'04 / Re: What 2003 SAGA product are you still missing?
« on: June 19, 2003, 06:30 PM »
Well, thanks to Matt who is hooking me up with 2 of the newer figs, I will only be missing the following:

1 version each of the RFT and IO variants
Tusken Raider
Lama Su
Ayala
Chewbacca
Yoda & Chian
Ashla & Jempa
and all 3 of the Action Fleet ships

I have been lucky enough to find all the Deluxe figs at retail as well as both speeder bikes and all but one of the 12" so far. But this only because I check stores a lot. The stuff disappears so quickly you almost need to if you want any of it.

When do the Incredible Bulk action figures start to hit retail?  ;D

Let me get this straight, is it a preorder for the doll, or the guy?

Lemon-Viper, you should check out the Books section at theforce.net. They have a good timeline over there for pretty much everything that has been released. They also have a listing of just the novels which is also in order of when they take place.

Yeah, but only because her favourite guy was in there.   ;D  Ahem.

Yep, I was in the room then too when she was.  ;)

Yes Brent, join us here in the Twin Cities. Targets are about as plentiful as McDonalds around here. Heck, I have about 5 Targets all within 10 minutes of my house.

I just wish one of them had something new once in a while.  >:(

Only the wife knows about my doings in here. She even popped in the chat room briefly a couple weekends ago.  ;D

LEGO / Re: Death Star Trench scene direct from Lego!
« on: June 17, 2003, 04:16 PM »
I wouldn't at all be surprised if these fetch over a grand each. I've noticed many other of the Lego Shop at Home auctions have gone in that range so I would expect these to as well.

Now why can't they ever release a set like this to retail stores? >:(

JD Sports Forum! / Re: Batter up! The JD Baseball Thread...
« on: June 17, 2003, 04:08 PM »

The current flap is this:  Roger is taking his issues with the Hall Of Fame up a notch.  He wants to be inducted as a Yankee, or else.  He says if he doesn't have the classic NY on his hat, he doesn't intend to attend his own induction to the hall.

Well here's what the Induction Committee needs to do, tell him if he keeps up with the threats of not showing up to the ceremony, just not induct him into the hall. Then ole Roger won't have to worry about which hat he'll be wearing.

Gee, remember the days when being inducted into the Hall of Fame was a huge honor. Guess not with Clemens.  ::)

I too have not had any problems getting in the chat room when I've wanted too. Or at least no problems that weren't fixed upon me rebooting my computer.

Other Collectibles / Re: Lightsaber pens?
« on: June 15, 2003, 03:52 PM »
I have all 5 pens opened but sorry, no dups of any of them. I traded away the few I had back when the promo was still going on.

No clue if the batteries could be replaced. I would think so, but unsure if it would mean damaging the pen to open it up to get to the battery.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Some Walmarts NOT carrying Star Wars now!
« on: June 14, 2003, 05:12 PM »
Funny how everyone is having problem with Walmarts in their area. If not for Walmarts around here stocking the occasional new figure, I would have seen exactly 1 new fig in a store (Target). But due to Walmart, I've managed to pick up about another half dozen of the 2003 figs. I haven't seen anything new in a few weeks there though.  :(
