Hey, for this thread, I thought I'd add that big ol' Axl Rant from the 1992 Oklahoma bootleg that I love so much, that I typed up and used in a Rebelscum thread last year.
So, I've been searching for it over there, and of course, it's nowhere to be found, so I guess someone "moved" it or something.
I was recently listening to a bootleg audio cassette I had of the 1992 Paris pay-per-view show--Axl goes on this crazy, crazy spiel about Warren Beatty, from totally out of nowhere.

The sad thing about the whole deal, is that I just got the Love back from the dude I don't even know from the DVD Talk board on the American Splendor thing.
This, and the three bucks credit from OCB for the Brat Pack. . .er. . .Pack.
But what I'll be thinking of tomorrow won't be the Love I shared with those guys, but with the unrequited Love I shared with Matt Colman, but didn't get in return.

That's what they're saying over there, in those threads that I haven't been paying any attention to? Oh, dear. I'm glad I've been staying away, then.
I mean, yeah, film preservation is an important thing, and I want the originals just as much as anything else, but, come on. Those original prints are somewhere--there's no way that they're lost forever, and you're right, as soon as the well starts to run dry on Star Wars--no doubt we'll see some new versions of those original prints. "FIRST TIME RELEASED SINCE 1995!!!", they'll say.
Oh well.
I wanted to say it earlier, but forgot to mention it:
I don't give a crap, about this, really. It's not exciting to me. I've got a ton of the VHS versions, and two different sets of the bootlegs, and can't remember the last time I watched any of them. It's been at least a year or so. And I don't imagine that I'll have an urge to watch the films again until the new DVDs come out in September.
(Now, I just might want to upgrade to a DDEX receiver, and a DLP TV before they come out, but still. . .)

Yeah, but the thing is, Mainland05, I don't give a sh!t about my post count.
I started all over again at Rebelscum after almost 2000 posts, and did it here, too, and would be happy to do it again.
As far as I'm concerned, no board should use post counts at all. When post counts become important, you wind up with people like GNT running the show--and I've got pimples on my ass that are more intelligent than that guy.
