I missed the Jaxxon skeleton originally too, that was cute.

So, yeah, it was a cool explosion this past episode. Funny how a ship loaded with enough explosives to destroy the4 entire Republic fleet as Gascon notes, isn't even strong enough to atomize a droid sitting right in the center of it all. That was so beyond plausible to me I just had to shake my head.

Yay, Tarkin sighting. Increased potential for animated figure being made by 0.000123%.

For real though, if that new Super Tactical Droid is not part of the line this year I'm going to plotz.

I had to turn off the GB game, SF has probably scored like 5 more touchdowns in the last 5 minutes. WTF? They almost look like they could give the AFC a run for its money in the Super Bowl.

That first game was nuts. I watched a lot of ravens game this year since I had so many of those guys on my fantasy team. Did not expect them to be able to pull that off...freaking unbelievable.

The sucky thing though, is that pretty much guarantees the Patriots ANOTHER trip to the Super Bowl. I can't stand it. I am so sick of seeing those guys every freaking year!

I have to think that given their previous tease about what a "tremendous" Krell they would be unveiling, the figure has to be pretty far along in the pre-production process. So yeah, I would expect to see him at some point, they're probably just trying to figure out how exactly to release him. I would guess it doesn't really work as a single carded figure given the sheer mass, and who knows if they are even making battlepacks anymore. I would say the best bet would be some sort of retail/con exclusive or possibly a deluxe Class I set.

I totally agree he should be part of the line before it folds, and I think the necessary "heat" is still there. The two that really make me feel as though my collection is incomplete are Duchess Satine and Sugi. I think they both still have an outside shot at being made, as they continue to appear sporadically, but I'm certainly not holding my breath.

LOL, Clovis = unadulterated SUCK, I hate that whiny doosh...I thought Anakin had him murdered at the end of his last episode anyway.

It is curious how those fell out of the cycle, but I can't say I'm going to miss them.

This was my favorite part of the EW article:

"Cartoon Network’s popular and innovative animated title The Clone Wars will likely shift to XD after its current deal expires."

See, it says right there it is still popular. Take that Bainbridge scholars, er...Hasbro!

I assume they are talking about syndication there, but it would be nice to imagine that the show might actually continue its run of new episodes post-Cartoon Network. I believe the contract is up after this season?

Wow, it really drives the fail home when you see it all laid out like that. Kudos on the exhaustive and impressive work there...that is some list.

There really are some incredible home-run figure choices in there too. And some wouldn't even require all new sculpts, just tweaks, repaints or a little kit-bashing would go a long way.

The line could literally continue strong for a few more years just putting out the stuff they haven't done yet, much less new stuff.

I just have to hope something with this Disney thing breaks the gridlock over at Hasbro somehow. I would keep buying these things for the rest of my life if they can stick with the animated motif.

My credit card was charged last night, so it looks like this will be shipping soon as hoped.  :)

Looks like Dr Manhattan for March and then I would guess Silk Spectre for May. Woot!

I agree, the lack of post-holiday clearancing is really lackluster compared to years' past. Walmart has the MTT on markdown, and the Class I sets for $8, not sure what they are doing with the midsize stuff. And Target has the Darth Maul pack for 50% off, but that's about it.

I think this is a direct result of Hasbro's waffling on a plan for 2013. If they could just confirm they will be shipping new Clone Wars product soon, for example, stores could start blowing out those godawful Wave 1 pegwarmers. But because no one knows what is happening, we're stuck in limbo.

I really feel like at this point that everything in the Darth Maul packaging should be immediately clearanced.

I just read up on Atha Prime.  No offense, but sounds like a pretty boring character to me.

Maybe, but the double-decker Imperial cruiser? What's not to love about that?  ;)

Really, I guess it comes down to Thrawn/Xizor, Sith redux, Vong or 'something else' as the likeliest options. Just for the sake of curiosity I'm tempted to see what would be behind Door #4, but then part of me thinks it could just as easily turn out to something silly like "cloud Galactus".

I actually think the Sith thing is my least favorite alternative, it just seems sort of played out at this point...I think the proliferation of EU Darths has sort of sapped my enthuiasm there.

I'm hoping this whole idea was just an experiment they will soon abandon. I totally agree about those Class II abominations...if you go that route, better to at least sculpt something new and interesting, like the Twilight for example. Or the Z-95 Headhunter.

Really though, I'd much rather see them put the money into the Class I sets too, and maybe even shift the larger scale midsize vehicles to semi-annual special releases. Medium is the new big, and all that.

No body, therefore possibly not dead:

Darth Maul
Ahsoka Tano
Mace Windu
Emperor Palpatine
Various Jedi Council Members: Shaak Ti and others

Am I missing any?

LOL, Shaak Ti has been killed like 3 times now.

In no way do I want to see Maul or Sidious again. They had their chance, time for some fresh blood.

Atha Prime would be over the top-awesome.

Well, I am hoping that they see the light and are preparing to fill the early 2013 void with tons and tons of exciting new Clone Wars product and , er...ah, who am I kidding.

I guess this will be the year I go back and start collecting all the realistic-style Tartakovsky stuff.

Thanks Jeff, I appreciate the efforts! I'm certainly not anticipating any good news, but some clarity of future direction would be nice.

Or, ideally: "We sold that sub-line to Disney. They will have 40 new figures out in 2013 starting this spring with the Pong Krell wave..."

Two sides of the playing through pain coin: Ponder vs RGIII

That game last night was just brutal to watch. Dude is gimping around on one good wheel and still trying to make plays. I just hope he didn't wreck that knee permanently. Ugly end to a brilliant season.

Props to the Skins and Colts for wildly exceeding expectations this year...
