Revenge of the Sith / Re: Target DPCI Number Reboot?
« on: July 26, 2005, 06:39 PM »
I tried the Evo # and 500th Vader # at a Target today and they both worked fine.

Maybe your Target is about to reset? I know they all are, but the resets may be happening in your area first...

I got an email from Sony today.

Since I'm part of their Gamer Advisory Panel they send me offers to beta test future online games. Today they sent me an invitation to beta test BF2. So what did I do? I accepted of course!

More updates soon, they'll be emailing me soon about the test kits.

**** yeah, thanks for the DCPI numbers, Jeff!

I was able to get an Anakin set from the back with the help of the nicest Target employee I've ever encountered. Make sure to have the DCPI number handy if you go.

Opening the set after I post this, will edit with thoughts later.

Toy Reviews / Re: New JD Review: Agen Kolar (Jedi Master)
« on: July 26, 2005, 10:54 AM »
That was a good review, Jesse, but I have to debate one part. I HAVE gotten Agen to hold his lightsaber with both hands. I haven't done it since April though (the last time he was played with opened), but I'll take a pic later today.

But it was a great review! I love your reviews on here, keep up the good work!

EDIT: Well, I must have been imagining things, because you are correct. Agen sadly can't hold his saber with both hands.

That's awesome! I love all of the detail. Great work so far!

FYI, the Anakin set showed up at a newly opened Target around here last week. So they should be shipping to the rest of the Targets pretty soon...

I just wish the cloak was soft goods so he could sit with in in the starfighter, but I'm NOT complaining since everything else is VOTC quality.

Now if the red starfighters would go on clearance....

Photonovels and Movies / TSR: Voyage to Trideeno - NOW UP!
« on: July 25, 2005, 02:05 AM »
So I've been hard at work lately trying to get part 3 of TSR ready. Currently it's about halfway complete, with lack of batteries being the cause of delay. I'm hoping to have it ready by next weekend.

Big thanks to Vator for creating pictures of two primary locations in the story. :D

For now, I leave you with the usual preview shot. :)

8/2/05 - THE THIRD INSTALLMENT IS NOW UP! THE IMPERIAL REMNANT FORCES YOU TO ENJOY!!!! :D

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: Battle of Death Star Wave
« on: July 25, 2005, 12:46 AM »
I thought we were getting 8 figures? If we are, get rid of the Vader and Stormtrooper in my list.

BATTLE OF DEATH STAR (8 figures):

-Stormtrooper Han; VOTC body with removeable helmet and blaster.
-Stormtrooper Luke; See above.

I think we should get just Han in Stormie duds because the last Han Stormie we got was a Froot Loops exclusive while the Luke Stormie was wide-release.

But then the Luke would look really dumb next to the superior updated Han. :P

LEGO / Re: Lego Yoda Target Give Away

I laugh at the stupidity of the auction.

I think it's the rarity of the items.

Back when they were released, there was that giant drought, and around here, all of the 2003 figs didn't start showing up until the fall. Of course, the crappiest CW figures were released first - Anakin, Yoda, and the only Wave 1 winner, the ARC Trooper. I saw the ARC once, but the other two warmed pegs for months until the 04/HOF figs began showing up. This caused retail to not order any of the Wave 2 or 3 figures, which contained the figs everyone wanted. Many people never saw them, and now eBay is their last resort. Scalpers jack up the prices, and the people pay them to complete their collections.

The same could also be said for vehicles and deluxe, which very few found.

Then again, this is just my assumption, it's probably something completely different.

Is a limited Target exclusive any more worse than an overpriced SWS.com exclusive? :P

Never sat down to watch a full episode of Trek (I find it boring), but I've heard the line many times. RIP  :'(

I wouldn't be disappointed with army builder repacks, really. I can always use more Stormies, Tuskens, etc. :)
