Hm. I found this store called Time and Space Toys, and they have an offer for all six upcoming Willows, including the non-vamp faced Doppelgangland Willow. No price is listed, but it's expected in stock April 2004. Tough choices.

Force Guy brings up a good point about education. But, what does our children's educations matter to a man who just wants to get into history books?

One of my all-time faves:

The Geography of a Woman
Between the ages of 18 - 21 a woman is like Africa or Australia. She is half discovered, half wild and naturally beautiful with bushland around the fertile deltas.

Between the ages of 21 - 30 a woman is like America or Japan. Completely discovered, very well developed and open to trade especially with countries with cash or cars.

Between the ages of 30 - 35, she is like India or Spain. Very hot, relaxed and convinced of its own beauty.

Between the ages of 35 - 40 a woman is like France or Argentina. She may have been half destroyed during the war but can still be a warm and desirable place to visit.

Between the ages of 40 - 50 she is like Yugoslavia or Iraq. She lost the war and is haunted by past mistakes. Massive reconstruction is now necessary.

Between the ages of 50 - 60 she is like Russia or Canada. Very wide, quiet and the borders are practically unpatrolled but the frigid climate keeps people away.

Between the ages of 60 - 70 a woman is like England or Mongolia. With a glorious and all conquering past but alas no future.

After 70, they become Albania or Afghanistan. Everyone knows where it is, but no one wants to go there.

The Geography of a Man
Between the ages of 15 - 70 a man is like Zimbabwe - ruled by a d---.

I've found a seller on ebay who sells the TRU G1 reissues at like $20 each, so I think I might get back into those, because those prices aren't nearly as insane as TRU's.

I'm not sure if this has been done here, but let's go with it anyway, eh?

This is the sickest joke I've heard in a while.

Steve, Bob, and Jeff were working on a very high scaffolding. Suddenly, Steve falls 50 feet to the ground below and he is killed instantly.
After the coroner leaves with Steve's body, Bob volunteers to inform Steve's wife of the terrible news. Some two hours later, Bob returns to the work site with a six-pack of beer under his arms.

"Say, Bob, where did you get the six-pack?"

"Steve's wife gave it to me!"

"What! You just told her that Steve died and she gave you a six-pack?"

"Well, before I broke the news to her, I asked her if she was Steve's widow. And, she said she wasn't, so I said I'd bet her a six-pack she was!"

 ;D

I haven't sent them yet. I'm having some hellish IE problems here, but I got 'em cleared up, I think.

I'll have to go with Deanna Troi from ST: TNG. Plus Slave Leia and Arena Padme.

Jolene Blalock is smokin' hot too. It seems illogical to wear skintight suits on a ship full of men in deep space, but from here, I ain't complainin'. ;D

Most recently, I've stopped buying GI Joe and Transformers G1 reissues. The Joes have gotten into really f-ing weird territory, and don't look like the line I grew up with anymore.
I'd still be buying G1 reissues, if it weren't for the $30 price tag on each. Gouging TRU *******.

I'm on the fence about quitting the Marvel lines too. I've never found the figures I was interested in for X2 series 2, Archangel and Cyclops are packed 1x per case in the new X-men line(which I still haven't seen) and 75% of my ML figures have loose joints. I'm severly dissatisfied and don't care to spend more money on shoddy product. I'll decide on that after I see what Toy Fair has to offer, if anything.

Masters of the Universe/ Batman: I got a Batman and Joker from the Batman line, and I'll neer see Mr. Freeze now, so I'm done with that line. MOTU I will see through to the bitter end. I only need Roboto, Panthor, and the Slime Pit, and I'd be satisfied if the line ended tomorrow. This line, more than any other, is a hassle in every sense of the word, and it simply isn't worth what it takes anymore. (Same could be said of nearly any collecting interest, I suppose.)

I got the mag today, and there's an option of ordering two vamp-face Willows and getting with that a regular faced version in the same outfit--3 figures, $54. I'm thinking about springing for that one, but I have nary a clue what I'll do with the other vamp-face Willow. Trade bait, I suppose.

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Wave 2 - Animated Clone Wars Figures
« on: January 15, 2004, 01:36 AM »
Ugh. Looks like Hasbro's going to Mattel's School of Casepacking there. Of course, i noticed at my local Target that Obi-Wan and Mace are quite common, and Anakin numbers the least. I hope this isn't the be-all end-all assortment, and cases that favor the Clone and Durge are in the works.

And, BTW, whose idea was it to pack a Clone at 1x per case? That's really, really dumb.
