well, being the huge metalhead that i am, i guess my guiltiest pleasure is listening to sarah mclachlan. my ex-wife turned me on to her music, and i think she's an amazing songwriter with an amazing voice... the only thing i can still thank that *%$^# for doing to me  ;D

i guess you can add rap music to that list as well... you should see the looks i get when i'm wearing a blood duster or dying fetus shirt and listening to the new album from snoop dogg or g-unit. people always look at me funny  ;D

Oh dude, that reminds me of a couple more--Sarah McLachlan and Enya. To this day I get so much **** from friends and family for this. Still.

This kind of thing would have to be done by many countries. The US alone can't handle it, because we're blowing our money by blowing up sandy rocks. China, Japan, and some other countries that I can't think of now could help. But, I have to applaud Bush for wanting to go back to the Moon. Mars is a little further off, I'm sure, but I'd love to see it happen.

I posted this at RS, but what the hell. Let me check my local stores here, man. One store still has the Fellowship limited, so hey, you never know.

This sucks. They sold every Commerative figure they made--wouldn't it have made sense to sell to that very same market rather than kids who obviously never liked it? I'm willing to bet this becomes an example in high school level business classes about how NOT to run a multinational. Ignore fans, market to the wrong demographic(and never fix it), and ignore the wants and needs of the retailers, which is obviously the worst thing you can do.

I have a brief thread at the .org about maybe Mattel allowing NECA to do the action figures, and JVS3 (you know, Mr. Honcho and author of the MOTU comic) said that Mattel wouldn't do it, simply because it will look bad to the stockholders and retailers.  So, because of Mattel's pride, fans suffer more. Grab your ankles and have courage, MOTU fans, because the worst part is yet to come, I'm sure.

Rant over.  >:(

Man, I am SO going to buy Cookie Monster, even if I'm not confident enough in my manhood to do it. ;) Kidding, kidding. If I start these, I'm going to want to buy some Muppets, and it will be all downhill from there. 'Course, I don't collect GI Joe and Transformers anymore, and MOTU's dead, so maybe.

It'd be great to finally get Isildur and Elendil. But then we're gonna want Prologue Gondor warriors, Prologue Orcs...blah.

Oh well. I'm glad to see some kind of Shelob coming out, and also Twilight Frodo, so I can have one to open.

OK, I finally got my IKON exclusive Buffy and Spike today. I'd be happy, if Buffy's right arm hadn't arrived broken. :'( >:(  The leather jacket is holding it in place, so it looks OK. No problems with Spike. I wonder if they're going to take Angel and Vampire Spike off 'hold' and actually produce the damn things.

That list can't be real. I mean, where are all the Gollums and Smeagols?

Fanboy's wet dream, pure and simple. Of course, I'd gladly eat my words if it were true.

My guilty pleasures:
Mochas in my 'Buffy& Willow& Xander& Giles' mug.
'Showgirls' on DVD. Gina Gershon-- :o
Toy collecting
Guiness, from either the can or the bottle. Preferably tap, when I can get it.
Franken Berry or Count Chocula while watching Buffy or Adult Swim.
Pizza from a joint here called Mama Nicks'
Nascar races--redneck, I know.
The song 'I Quit' by Hepburn. It represents all I hate in modern music, yet it's so damn catchy.

I read Fox Trot, Dilbert, and PvP daily. Everything else is pretty lame.

I too wish Calvin and Hobbes and the Far Side were still being made. They didn't follow the Garfield path of going even when you're not funny anymore.

I'd love to see an SA Stormtrooper, Boba and Jango, Luke and Han in any costume, and Vader. These Clones have spoiled us, methinks.

If these come in around $8-10, I might bite. But anymore than that it's out of the question.

My parents' cat, Holly, strikes fear into my younger cousins, who are like eight years old. The cat is edging fourteen now, and she's mean to everyone except the people who live in the house or who lived there at one time. She attacks humans, dogs, and anything else she doesn't like. She isn't afraid of anything. My dog's petrified eveytime he sees her, and the dog is seven times her size.

Just thought I'd share that with ya. :-*
