I like the way you brought all of those elements together in photoshop. Reflections of the droids would be cool as would ripples around their feet. I like the spray of water near Ventress's skirt.

Chewie, have you ever heard of a program called Bryce? It's a 3d landscape generator. You can do this same image more realistically in Bryce than you could ever do in photoshop. You could even add some animation to it. The program is really easy to use and creates fantastic images. The program is about $100 but very powerful.

Customs Community and Group Projects / Re: Customs for disaster relief

I think jokabofe is on to something here. We don't need ebay to raise money. JD and the other star wars sites could run auctions on custom figures, exclusives and other toys from their main pages. Members could donate items to be auctioned off.

This could be a friendly competition among all the star wars sites to raise bids. Since this is charity work by the site staffs, 100% of the winning bids would go to the red cross to help everybody.

I could see daily totals saying that Jedi Defender is ahead on their auctions by $2500 over RebelScum. All together they raised $54000. You know how much Wise likes to be numero Uno so he would spam his forum members with email to bid on his auctions. But at least the spamming would be for something good instead of TRU advertisments.

This seems to be the most effective way to get the most money donated to help the most people.

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Alderaanian babe

So what parts would you use for that?

What did you do to the Dooku to make him look more realistic? The cross eyes should be a two minute job to fix. What version of photoshop are you using now? Have you tried Paint.net ? I'm actually finding it easier to use than photoshop and I can still do lot of the same effects.

I have a little surprise for the head. It's one of Ryan Shaw's (bantha5) custom Bossk head. He even painted it for me. I just hope the rest of the figure will not seem out of place.

Hey Ryan, what is the quote from on your signature?

Here is a work in progress picture of my terrorist. I had to make him a little taller because he looked funny with long arms and short legs. Thanks go out to Sith Lord Chaos for the parts!  8)

I need to know what accessories I should give this guy. Shall I give him a briefcase full of Anthrax? Maybe a belt of gernades? Starship tickets? (sorry bad reference) No weapons at all?

I now have all my parts for my terrorist. I just got to assemble and paint. Hopfully by the end of the week I'll have a picture. I'm trying to go for that Chewie-like look. ;)

I traded with Ryan and everything went great! Highly recommended. Thanks Ryan!

Right. Blue Harvest was subtitled "Horror beyond Imagination". This was what they refered ROTJ to be to keep the press off balance. It would never work in today's internet age.

Basically, it would be any kind of creation or alien you can come up with. If you wanted to make a Jawa with red eyes. Go for it.

I'm thinking about the project for October. What if we did it around the theme "Blue Harvest: Horror beyond Imagination". Basically, this would be as many creatures and aliens you can come up with. A nice halloween-type theme but star wars style.

If you don't know, blue harvest was the set name for Revenge of the Jedi.

Here is another 12" Quinlan Vos that I thought was well done.

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: Custom Clones - Clean or Dirty?
« on: September 12, 2005, 11:07 AM »
I agree with Gregorbian. I like clean because its more Hasbro like. Besides, they look better clean when you have them lined up for review by the Emporer. I think I've seen too many dirty ones and that aspect has kind of left me cold. It doesn't stear the same emotions as a nice new clean figure does. Clean has become more unique and interesting to me now.

Thanks Greg. You've been quite recently. Is everything ok? How is your Snoova coming along?
