Feedback / Re: Jesse James' feedback
« on: November 18, 2008, 11:15 AM »
Jesse traded me Jodo Kast for one of the legs from the BAD in the repaint wave (and some $).  Jesse communicated very well that the transaction would take a little longer  (I guess he has a life/job/something, whatever... ;D).  Everything went great!  Thanks Jesse.

There are four within about 40 minutes of where I live, only two of which I go to with any frequency, but I don't often catch larger items like that on sale, I just am not there often enough.

BJ's (its a wholesale club like Costco or Sam's) has the V-19 for $46 or so, and I think I had seen the fighter tank at target for the $49 you mentioned iFett.  My out of state sister sent me $50 for my birthday with the stipulation that I had to spend it on something for me, that's the only reason I think I'll be able to get one right now.  Other stuff will have to wait until after the holidays.  I think I am leaning towards the fighter tank.

I'm going back and forth on this.  The V-19 Torrent and the Target exclusive Fighter Tank are close to the same price, I'm just not sure which to get.  I'm thinking the fighter tank, because its an exclusive, meaning the V-19 should be easier to find down the road.  I'm thinking I only can get one right now.  Thoughts?

On the otheR Site, someone has posted a pic, with a receipt showing they bought the Clone set at TRU for $40 in Indianapolis.  Anyone see these?  I think that's the price they were thru Previews, right?

Revising a bit of an older thread, but I picked up the Luke and Fried2-D2 set this morning.  The WM I frequent has probably 20-30 of these left, but most of them are the Plo, Watto and Kit sets.  Odd, those are the ones I wanted most (and those are the three that I have already).  They only have one Luke, probably half a dozen of the Han and that's it, no Vader  >:(  So I think I'll have to check some of the other WM that had this set, I can think of a couple others in the area, that I don't get to too often that had these.

Oh, and of course they were still full price.... :(

The thing with Scum's roundup is they don't include the answers, you have to link to the websites, but I can't always connect to them, so its nice getting all the answer together.  But that's just my 2 cents.

So KMart is doing another $5 figure sale this week.  That's twice in the last 3 weeks or so.  I'm wondering if they are hurting bad and are hoping to drive sales in the rest of their store.  WalMart actually has more than two figures on the shelf though, so I'll be taking the ad there if I get anything this week...

The Legacy Collection / Re: Sub-Line Ideas?
« on: November 10, 2008, 04:38 PM »
How about a "Heroes of the:" line.
Heroes of the Empire could be Baron Fel, or Tank Sunber...
Heroes of the Rebellion could be Wedge or Lt. Page (I think he was featured in the X-Wing series as a commando officer).
Heroes of the Republic could feature a new Cody or SA Commando or Admiral Yularen (a non-jedi hero)
I'm not sure who a hero of the CIS would be, but I'm sure there is someone logical.  General Grevious w/ Cape, maybe?
Heroes of the Mandolorians could be Jaster Mereel or a Neo-Crusader or something.
They could do a hero of the Wookiee, though I think Chewie is the best known Wookiee.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Clone Wars Animated Series Want/Idea List
« on: November 10, 2008, 04:12 PM »
I'm kind of surprised Hasbro has been slow to produce very many repainted droids and clones.  I know the line has only been out for a couple months, but I'd have expected a couple more repainted clones atleast.  I really want the astrodroids, and I'm surprised in particular that Hasbro didn't have an R2KT ready to go.  I know my two nieces think that KT is pretty cool and I think the little sisters of a lot of little kids would want one.  But I can understand that Hasbro was a little hesitant that the show would flop and they didn't want to have too much stuff out there.  Plus however small our numbers might be, the purchasing of collectors isn't to be ignored and I think a lot of signs pointed to adult collectors not being overwhelming excited about the animated style of figures.

I'd like to see R2-KT, some of the R4 droids, the Fleet officer Clone troopers, etc.

I liked Michael's argument with his mom.  He tells her he's getting married "No you're not".  "Why do you always say that?".  Oh too funny.

OK, so Jim and Pam make Jam, does that make Andy and Angela Ang-dy or And-gela?  Or simply An-dy or An-gela.

Who here thinks that since Angela is getting married at Schrute farms that there might be an objection during the ceremony, and a certain mustard-shirt wearing salesman might get the accountant of his dreams?  Also, what is Angela doing?  Does she like Andy at all?  I thought Andy was just to get back at Dwight, but she's back with Dwight for all accounts and purposes.  I'm sure that'll come to a head at some point, which might be why that plot line is allowed to grow.

I stopped into KB hoping they would have something new in conjunction with their sale on MM, but nothing  :P  Though if I needed a C3PO or Ben Kenobi, I'd be all set.  I don't know why the C3PO sits so long.  In the 3 3/4 line C3PO usually isn't all that exciting, but the MM version is really pretty neat looking, to me anyway....
