Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Do You Have Pets?
« on: August 31, 2006, 07:16 AM »
My wife collects cats like I collect Star Wars items.  Our current count is 16:

Timmy
Trapper
Baxter
Butters
Wiggles
Vanilla
Princess Leia
Swipper
Thumbs
Spencer
Scurry in a Hurry
Cutie Pie
Jabber Jaws
Sunberry
Grand Moff Tarkin
and a female kitten that is still looking for a name

How about:  "Free kitten, looking for a good home" ;)

I've tried that for at least the past half dozen...she won't let it happen.

My Anakin came in pretty bad shape from FedEx.  My Han Solo from UPS was a lot better.

I haven't pulled mine out of the box yet, but at first glance I'm happy with the figure.  I think it looks pretty nice.  I'm interested to see the mynock out of the box.

I have a couple of extra repacks from a case that I ordered. They are $6.66 each:

Commander Cody w/ red Sidious holo
R2-D2 w/ red Kenobi holo

Let me know if anyone wants them.

I don't collect props, but why are there two higher end Falcons out?  Code 3 has theirs and now MR?

Is there a big difference in size or detail?

The MR version is about three feet across.  The Code 3 one is around 12" or so.

I myself have never found any of these supposed statements made by USC, just Dustin's crew saying that he said them on myspace, etc.  The only thing I can find is his blog on starwars.com.

Philip Wise is just making himself look bad with his on comments.  Technically, Dustin violated the rules with all his affiliations and the fact he has worked for officialpix.  It doesn't appear that USC had any vote for me links that got someone $2 a pop.  I think all the DLR people just don't want to believe that someone could actually beat him.  I was rooting for USC (actually rooting for Jeff first, but unfortunately that was a lost cause) solely based on the fact that I couldn't stand seeing DLR on every single SW site known to man...it just got way too annoying.

Who didn't see this coming?  There was the clause in the "rules" that the "winner" had to pass a background check.  They could at least give us a b.s. excuse like Dustin had 100+ "absentee ballots", but they will never tell us what happened.

I have noticed how all the Dustinites say things like USC promotes drugs, hates the fans, doesn't know when TPM came out, steps on puppies, etc., but has anyone actually seen/heard where all this was posted.  The only thing I have seen about USC is his blog on starwars.com and his campaign annoucements on yodanews and the privateuniverse...that is it.  I can't find this supposed myspace account or any other info on this guy.   Anyone else get the feeling that this USC guy was Sidious while Dustin was playing Palpatine?  Unless he used stolen credit cards to buy these subscriptions, you would think we would hear at least something from USC.

Ok, I missed one...I got my Darth Vader Ep. III saber second plaque yesterday.  Also, the Y-Wing came without an edition size.  Hopefully since it was up for preorder before the Qui Gon Jinn saber they aren't going to continue this trend.  Also, the turret part is separate from the base...I've seen any instructions or anything, but it does not look as if it can cover the post that the Y-wing rests on.  Anybody find anything different with this thing?

Modern Classifieds / WTB: Republic Command Gunship

This is the older Clone Wars version in the white box, not the new Toys 'R Us one, or the AOTC or ROTS ones.  Any help would be appreciated.  It doesn't have to be unopened, but I would like it to be complete.

So that's the plaque that is waiting for me back in Michigan.  I just got an email from my girlfriend at my old office stating I had another small MR package and I was too lazy to look up what one this should be.

Anyone ordering the "new" Han Solo blaster?   ::)

I ordered it just because he is my favorite character.  Otherwise I would have passed since I have the old ANH one.  I guess the price isn't too bad since they are still selling the ESB version for $499.

I received another plaque yesterday.  It was for the ESB Han blaster; edition size 3,000.  That just leaves the Vader helmet and hopefully this craziness will be finished.
