I've been happy with mine as well...  It appears to-scale despite some dubious #'s I read on the ship, the paintjob is outstanding, the construction fantastic...  I'm looking to nab a couple more for a flight of them and call it a day.

That's what they said about the Vintage wave and last week - nothing happened.

With the nearly $2000 I dropped rapidly building a collection of Gentle Giant Mini Busts this year, it's a damn good thing I'm not participating in this little event.  I'd probably quit collecting.  I've got to be around $3500 for the year between modern, lego, vintage, and gentle giant.

Leaving the thread locked, I wanted to get this in here for posterity's sake. 

Apparently Jim Ward helps break up dog fighting rings - one of his more endearing qualities.

One of the few law enforcement officials to penetrate a professional dogfighting ring is Jim Ward, an agent for the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. The operation he infiltrated involved former NFL running back LeShon Johnson, who pleaded guilty in 2005 to dogfighting in a case in which more than 200 dogs were seized and 20 people convicted. (Johnson received a five-year deferred sentence.) Ward attended two fights, the first a high-stakes match and the second a series of training fights during which 30 to 40 people, including Johnson, were "rolling" dogs -- trying them out to determine if they were "game" enough to fight. Both sets of fights were staged in a greenhouse, in a pit made of hinged plywood so that the walls could be folded down and the carpet rolled up in a moment.

"I was amazed at how all sorts of people from all sorts of backgrounds went to these fights," Ward, 36, says. "There was a kid there who was eight or nine years old, and there were some teenagers and then older men. But there were also women who had come with their boyfriends, as if on a date."

They're not going to do anything for us, evenflow.  But what they are going to do is temporarily suspend our order and hold it hostage for another $12 - 15, while they waste resources emailing hundreds or thousands of people that already finalized their orders and got confirmation numbers.

They're really going to wait for each individual customer to respond to an email?  I have trouble believing that.  I'll believe it when I see it.

As someone who went out of his way to secure help from attendees and paid an arm and a leg for these, there's a small part of me that is glad tons of people aren't getting them that easily and for 25% less with no tax either.

The rest of me thinks it was Hasbro's error and they need to suck up the monetary loss.  Sorry guys.
