I thought that had been regarded as a given.

Sports talk radio in New York seems OBSESSED with naming the pass from Eli Manning to David Tyree.  Obviously it was the turning point of the game, and a lot of the commentators are calling it quite possibly the biggest play in Super Bowl history.  But does it really have to have a name?!?!?

My AT-AP & Grievous Starfighter arrived from Hasbro Toy Shop last night.  And today I scored the new Obi-Wan, Po Nudo, 2-1B and Mustafar Panning Droid via a trade.

I went frame by frame through that shot of the guy getting knocked down the stairs.  I couldn't say that was Doallyn or Bane Malar with a good level of certainty.  I looked at the helmet using the zoom feature on my DVD player, and I couldn't conclusively say it was either Doallyn or Bane Malar.  The shot was just too dark.  But it is pretty clear that Doallyn is on the second Skiff at the Sarlacc pit.

That one appears to be the Lancer droid, from the battle of Muunilist.  Perhaps more IG droids, but in Assassin form are part of the new series?

I've never seen the appeal of Yarna as a figure.  I'd much rather get another Oola with super articulation. ;D

These are the only ones that I'm genuinely curious about:

Ahsoka with Rotta the Hutt
Oddball
IG-series Assasin Droid

The rest seem somewhat predictable.  I would hope that maybe Oddball will have a removable helmet.  We haven't gotten a ROTS era Clone pilot with a removable helmet.  But I think given the images we've seen of the series so far, it's closer in the timeline to AOTC and the Phase I clones than Phase II.

Ahsoka we've seen.  She's another Togruta.  But Rotta?  A baby/young Hutt is somewhat intriguing.

The IG droid is interesting, too.  If it's built off of the VTAC IG-88 that would be fantastic!

There are two Sgt Doallyn's in ROTJ (the one in the Palace getting pushed down the stairs and the skiff guard).  I've read somewhere that Malar is a Decipher creation and was taken/photoshopped from a costume fitting picture

Not so sure about that.  I'm pretty sure that I saw a Jabba's palace cast photo, with actors in costume posed with Jabba.  And one of the costumed actors was in the Bane Malar costume.

Bane Malar does look a bit like Sgt. Doallyn.  The helmets are definitely similar.  But Malar's costume is a dark blue, while Doallyn's is a light grey or tan.

There is at least a kernel of truth in that list.  Ak-Rev got confirmed the Hasbro Q&A's.

The Pats will be in the playoffs next year because they are a great team in one of the weakest divisions in the NFL.  If the Giants played Miami and the Jets twice every year they would've had a better record.

Very true.  The Jets?  They stink.  Buffalo?  I'm surprised the franchise is still there.  And Miami has just been embarassing the past few years.  And even with Parcells taking over the GM role in that franchise, it will probably be a couple of years before the Dolphins are competitive again.

I hope Eli starts getting a fair shake in the NY press...they've been brutal on him the past three years.

I hope so too.  The team was really good on the road.  And that playoff run was phenomenal.  But the sports writers in NY are like a bunch of rabid hyenas.  If Eli has a bad game, they'll throw him under the bus almost immediately.  It's just the nature of the NY newspapers.

Now there are actually NFL rules saying that coaches can only wear suits or something like that 2 times a season.  The rest of the season these guys have to wear team attire.  WTF kind of rule is that?

That's really interesting.  I don't see the Jaguars that much, but it seems that Jack Del Rio is in a suit every time I do see him.

So busy since yesterday, but Dressel's Super Bowl take a little later!

Jack Del Rio has been one of the coaches that's been pushing for this.  I've seen him wear suits on the sidelines, but supposedly the rule is twice a season.

It's probably some marketing/merchandising thing, where they want the coaches to wear the licensed merchandise.  Effectively making them some kind of a living advertisment.

Anyone else think Manning DIDN'T deserve the MVP?

From the scoring standpoint, he deserves it.  But how could you award the MVP to an entire D-Line?
