Hey Hasbro! / Re: Questions for Hasbro?
« on: April 25, 2007, 02:42 PM »
The Clonetrooper Evolutions weapons (DC-15a and DC-15s rifle and blaster) are very close to movie accurate, and I see that they are showing up with some of the TAC individually carded figures (ie Galactic Marine), I was wondering if Hasbro can make an accessory pack with large number of these weapons? I would love to arm my clones with these more movie-realistic versions. Is there any way to purchase these from you?

Hasbro has answered variations of this question a number of times over the last few months...  Examples:

What are the chances that Hasbro can make some type of accessory pack for clones... (JTA, 01/12/07)

An interesting thought, but lower on our priority list right now...

Has Hasbro considered a weapons pack of rifles and other assorted clone gear to help army builders? (JI, 01/26/07)

We have heard fans, and we are considering this for a future year.

Has Hasbro considered a clone trooper weapons pack with rifles... (RS, 3/02/07)

This is a good comment that we've heard from many different avenues, and we'll look at it.

He is out there, just tough to find thanks to the army builders I'd assume.

I wouldn't worry too much as the Galactic Marine (and Airborne Trooper too) are both shipping at 1x or 2x per case for the next few waves...

Galactic Marine:
- 2x per case in Wave 1, Revision 0
- 2x per case in Wave 1, Revision 1
- 1x per case in Wave 2, Revision 1
- 2x per case in Wave 3, Revision 0
- 2x per case in Wave 3, Revision 1

If you really don't want to wait, check the PM I just sent you.  ;)

Did Hasbro ever explain why that Chewie, R2, C-3PO, Stormtrooper and Vader were never released on there first run Star Wars Cards instead of the ESB and ROTJ ones?

At comic-con or someplace, they had said that they weren't sure if they would do more, so they wanted to hit all three movies evenly in this batch since 2004 was a "celebrate the OT" year for the DVD push.

Once upon a time, they did say they understood about the 12-back stuff and that they may go back and re-issue those on SW cards... but that was nearly 3 years ago and hasn't happened yet, so I wouldn't hold my breath for it to happen anytime soon.

Kubricks / Re: Kubrick Newbies - Questions and Advice
« on: April 25, 2007, 10:02 AM »
does anyone have any advice on how to get these kubricks and where to start?

The best place to star is with the "not rare" pieces from each series.  Usually you can get them super-cheap ($3-5 each) on eBay.  This allows you to get a few to decide whether on not you want to collect them.

After that, the best place for older series (like Series 1 to 4) really is eBay.  They are pricey, but that is really the only place you are going to find them appear regularily.  Maybe once and a while you can find extras on the forums, but usually just parts of series and not the whole thing.

For new stuff (Series 7 and eventually Series 8 ), it's best to get involved on the boards as many people buy in bulk and can help you.

Should I buy them?

If you like them, yes!

Can I trade for them and if so who do I contact?

Like Dan said, keep an eye on our Classifieds Forum.  Kubricks pop up al the time there...

It's amazing how the internet came to adopt McQuarrie's concepts as well, modeling their "don't hotlink our images" red X's after his initial Snowtrooper concept.

Uh... yeah.  Fixed.

I do not think the case assortment they have listed there is entirely correct.  #1, it only has 11 figures.  #2, the case assortment they have listed for wave 4 is wrong (it does not match any of the cases that EE and BBTS are selling, plus it is missing figure #22 M'iiyoom Onith).

4-inches has been good with the actual figure news, but they do often get the case assortments "wrong" (for us anyway) because they are talking about EU cases which sometimes differ from what we actually get in the USA.

Anyone have a pic pf the concept snow trooper and concept trooper head?

As JesseV08 said, it is most likely not a McQuarrie concept head, but rather an actual McQuarrie head (from his ESB cameo).

Rebel General Pharl McQuarrie...

And one of the McQuarrie Snowtrooper images...  not sure if this is the one though.

- No linking to pictures that have those web-address watermarks on them anymore

Your picture was watermarked with an adult site web address, so it had to go.

Ok, new rules for this thread.

NO LINKING TO PICTURES WITH PORN SITE WEB ADDRESSES.

- No linking to pictures hosted at those sites anymore
- No linking to pictures that have those web-address watermarks on them anymore
- If the pic originates somehow from an adult site, don't post it here.

I have received far too many e-mail complaints, so it stops now.  Consider this the warning...

Yes, Jeff you described the AT-PT well. I remember it from my Rogue Squadron CPU game. However, I was inquiring about the AT-AP as mentioned in my post that Darth Gamboa addressed.

Oops, must have read your post too quickly.  Sorry.   :-\

Anyone know what this is or have a pic they can post here so I can have a clue?

They are from a bunch of different SW video games over the years.  It is kind of like an AT-ST, but the main body is different...

All Terrain Personal Transport  Oops... nevermind.   :-[

it's the first I've seen wave 2 at WM... or read about it anywhere for that matter.

Like JJ said in his post, there were a few reports of Wave 2 hitting Wal-Marts last week... for example:

they've hit several stores in my area in sporadic numbers.  And they have hit at Wal-Mart around Pittsburgh but only a case here, a case there...

I don't think "Wave 2 at Wal-Mart" was widely reported because the Wave 2 figures have been out at so many other places (Target, TRU, KB, HasbroToyShop, K-Mart) over the last 2-3 weeks...

I have a question on the coins? They are not character related, right? Or are there only going to be 6 different (1 for each movie)?

Yep, there are only 6 different ones; one from each movie film.

There is a seventh "EU Coin" as well.  I think it is only available with the Darktrooper though...

I had some Best Buy Reward Zone certificates burning a hole in my pocket so I grabbed Season 1 on DVD.

Now I can catch up on the Season 1 episodes that I missed and watch the Mini-Series again...  :)
