Once the Turbo Tank driver comes out, I think it would be awsome to get a solid case of clone army builders since they are all collection 1, accept the Gunner:P. It could go like this:

#6 clone x 1
#33 clone comander x2
#34 clone pilot x1
#38 clone gunner x2
#41 clone x 2
#49 Bacara x2
#54 Turbo Tank Driver x2

Or just exclude the Gunner and do two of each.

Makes sense.

All I can say is that until I'm sitting in the theater on may 19th, my stomach is going to be fluttering. Not only am I excited to see the movie, but I'm excited to enjoy the experience one last time with my friends with whom I saw episodes one and two.

I'm just hoping there isn't 5 variations like there were for the CW line.

If I called you a bad person for army building, then I'd be a pot calling the Kettle black. My sentimate is the same as everbody elses, as long as you don't out right haard them, there's nothing wrong with it.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Target Exclusive Clone Trooper

I just get a little mad that Hasbro/Target/whoever deems this a $13 figure where it should be $5-6 (or maybe even $7-8 for being an exclusive).  Nice figure, but a bit pricey.

Here's some "insight" into the Target Pricing on these...

Hasbro is basically comparing these figures to the vOTC - a Basic Figure with Clamshell Packaging.  The Hasbro MSRP they showed at C3 was $10 and that's consistent with what they are charging Target for these (ie the cases of these cost approx the same per figure as the vOTC did).

If you remember, Target started out at $10.99 on the vOTC until Wal-Mart forced them to price-match down to $10.  In addition, a few of my Target sources basically admitted that Target bumped up the price a bit to the $12.99 because they KNOW collectors will pay it.

Target has been known to charge more for exclusive items in the past (Accessory Packs for $15, $40 for the B-Wing) and when it comes right down to it, as others have said, you don't see these sitting around very long do you?  Even at $13 they disappear pretty quick.   Lava Vader sucked as a figure, especially at $13, but when it's all said and done, they sold them all...  :-\

So, in summary:
The vOTC showed them (Target) we'd pay $11 for a figure and Lava Vader showed them we'd pay $13 for a figure

Not only did we (collectors) show them we'd buy at those prices, we're still showing them by buying up Lava Vader and the Clone.

Anyway, you can blame the $13 price tag on Target.  Hasbro wanted to charge you $10 (because of the clam-shell), but Target is the one that is sticking it to you...

Figures. But they're right. We are willing to pay. :P

And what's even more sad is that others are willing to pay even more to the scalpers. :-\

Maybe stuff is getting returned. There is only so much that can get sold on ebay for a profit.

9053
Just a little side story-

I know a Target (now former) employee who actually got fired for buying some of these before their release date.

I'm not opposed to repacks by any streach and am very surprised that when the oppretunity became available that stuff like Motti and Sio Bible weren't at the top of the list.

Lots of great suggestions here. Let's just hope they wouldn't do them all at once. :P

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Best Stormtrooper ????
« on: May 10, 2005, 10:34 AM »
Isn't that Evolution Sandtrooper just a VOTC Stormie with sand and a shoulderpad and possible backpack?

Which proves that these can be sold at a lower price point since it comes with two other highly articulated figures.

I've only ever seen the opposite where someone takes the figure, but leaves the accessories.

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Clone 3-pk ...does it suffice?
« on: May 10, 2005, 10:28 AM »
Does anyone know for sure what wave the ROTS Clone 3-pk is going to be in?  And if there are going to be at least 2 per case?

 :P

I'm not sure, but I would guess these should be in wave three and should be two per case.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Scalper
« on: May 9, 2005, 01:15 PM »
The thing that gets me are the people who do pick up things and put them on e-bay to help fund their collection and get offended when other people call them scalpers. There is no fine line. You either scalp something or you don't. I don't think less of those people who do that, I just don't think they have any point to argue.

I gave in and picked these up. I got a $10 off coupon for my next purchase though, so I'm using that to buy some figures there.
