Unfortunately, Han's shoulder's are VERY large for some reason... this is a big disappointment to me, he was my favorite in the old line and it just seems like there's always something weird about his sculpt in the new line.

I get the feeling that this Han is really intended to be scene specific to the torture rack.  Hence the expression on his face.  Besides, I think that there's a Bespin Han Solo in the works for the vintage line at some point soon.  There aren't a whole lot of choices left for Han Solo in the vintage line, and Hasbro has managed to work Han into almost every vintage line so far.  Have faith!

The production photos look good though.  It's a solid wave.  The character choices are nice, with 2 core characters, a bounty hunter/droid, a trooper/tribute to Ralph McQuarrie and an incredible concept figure/army builder.

I've been waiting for a really good 4-LOM for years now, and it's nice to see Hasbro come through on that.  There's going to be limited articulation because of the design of the character.  Hey, protocol droids are exactly nimble.  But the sculpt looks amazing.

The General Pharl McQuarrie is cool.  Mainly because of the tribute to Ralph McQuarrie.  I'll be getting 1 to keep carded to go along with my McQuarrie concept figures.  It belongs with them just because it's McQuarrie himself.  Other than that?  It's not a totally remarkable figure.  It seems like it's built on the Major Derlin body but with a new head and cover.  I like the fact that he appears to have a ball jointed head and it opens up the possibilities for quick and easy custom Hoth Rebel officers.

Lando?  Eh.  The Star Wars completist in me appreciates this but as an action figure fan?  He's not very exciting.  I appreciate that Hasbro's trying to do something different, and that it's kind of obscure...but it's just not that cool.

The McQuarrie Snowtrooper?  HOLY S***!  I had resolved not to army build with the McQuarrie Stormtrooper.  It's just not cool to do when they're packed one per case.  But the McQuarrie Snowtrooper really makes me want to break that vow.

Wow, this odyssey might really be coming to a conclusion.  If that's the case, congratulations Scott!

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: How does Obi-Wan know?

Sidious calls Anakin Vader in the security recording, and Yoda calls him Darth Vader.  And considering the fact that Darth Vader is known across the galaxy as the right hand of the Emporer, he has to know that somehow Anakin survived.

3. R4-P44 (Obi-Wan's astromech at Utapau)

That's R4-P17, and we've gotten him already.

I guess you mean this one, http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/R4-P44

Both incorrect.  Obi-Wan's Astro droid on Utapau is R4-G9, which came out in the ROTS Sneak Preview wave.  A pic might be more appropriate in this case to denote the specific droid you might be referring to.

I'm still wondering about how things will work out for Bly.  That one's going to be tough, too.  There should be enough of Cody to go around through various means:  at the show, helpers, raffle & 5-pack.

Thankfully Bacara is within grasp since I'm close enough to that show to actually attend.

I had heard that EE might be leaking out the identity of a few more figures leading up to Comic Con.

Really, where did you hear that?  :P

Someone with a crewcut told me that somewhere in SoCal, IIRC. ;D

I was surprised with just how well the non-attendee pre-order went.  Especially since I put my order in about 2+ hours after it went online.

I'm hoping that between the raffle and the 5-pack that those might be enough options to get the Neyo bust.  I'm going to hold off on trying to get one from the secondary market until both of those options have been exhausted.

Scored two of these sets.  I initially planned on opening one, mainly because of the kitbashed Luke.  But seeing just how good the VTAC Bespin Luke came out, I may not even open one of these.

So is EE not going to reveal the identities of the other figures? I'm not purchasing something that I have no clue to what it's going to contain.

I had heard that EE might be leaking out the identity of a few more figures leading up to Comic Con.  Of course they're holding off on revealing the entire set before then, but they're definitely trying to build interest.  But the rumblings I heard about the set at C4 seemed to indicate that the figures in the set might not be all Mandalorians.

I haven't ordered my own set just yet.  I'd like to see more of the set before I do.

Already, huh?  Wow.  GG is just not letting up on the pace of the releases.  I just got my Ben Kenobi bust this past thursday.

The basic chassis of the VTAC IG-88 might be good for an IG Lancer droid.  It looks like the arms and legs match up pretty well, as does the lower torso.  But the upper torso, shoulders and head would have to be reworked considerably.  As least based on this image.

Malak's jawpiece is removable.  Later on at C4 Hasbro took that off and had Malak holding it.  It looks pretty creepy for him to be holding the collar and to see most of his jaw missing, but it does serve to make him seem that much more menacing.

Ooh, any pics of that?? I didn't see any pics showing that on ANY of the major collecting sites.

Here ya go...

Sweet mother of... this wave is incredible.  Now, I've been waiting on images of the A-Wing pilot more than any other figure... it looks wonderful, but I think Hasbro has used some creative license there.  I'd have rather they update the familiar look of the POTF2 and vintage versions:

It seems to me that the new A-Wing pilot dovetails pretty well with the pilot in this image from the briefing scene aboard Home One in ROTJ
