Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Ever Walk Out of A Movie?
« on: June 30, 2003, 01:01 PM »
I left that stupid Mel Gibson movie where he's an army pilot that gets frozen and gets resurrected by some kids to live in their treehouse. I took a date there, and halfway through she went to the bathroom for like 10 minutes. That kind of made me mad because I didn't want to see it in the first place. So I got up and waited for her to come out, then suggested we leave if she wasn't feeling well. It worked.

I also walked out of the Shadow with Alec Baldwin because my friends and I were laughing too hard and people were getting pissed. Finally I said "What, you don't find this funny?"...then got my group to leave.

I WANTED to leave "Blade" because it was a horrible piece of garbage..... but my ride was enjoying the movie, so I went to the back row, folded up three arm rests and went to sleep. When I woke up, it was the end battle (same as the first one I had seen), and then I got to go.

I also wanted to leave the Matrix Reloaded about half way through....but there was no way any of my friends were going to leave that one....so I put up with it. Never again though.....

No, and I usually don't reply to topics that are cross-posted either. Especially between here and RS. I figure if it's over there, everyone will read it anyway, and it's usually started by the same person so I'm sure he'll get the answer one way or the other.

Every once in awhile I'll reply to cross-posted topics with a slightly different answer, but lately I've been avoiding even that.

Still crashing. I'll do it this weekend when everyone is not at work raking this site over the coals.

Sounds good to me Josh!  We'll chat a little closer to the event and try to get something arranged.  Who's going with you, your lady?  Pretty sure Patty will be with me.  What the heck are the dates again anyways...?

Yeah, my girlfriend is going to be there with me, and several friends from Seattle are going down at the same time (I believe it's at least 8 people or more).

We get there the 16th for "preview day" and we're leaving on the 20th.

20,000 posts without a GNT-esque essence?

I never assumed it was possible...on any board.

So who has a list of all the exclusives that'll be there this year?

I'm wondering if I shouldn't just try to get one of each and then dispense them through the trading boards to the interested parties that way.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What are you guys doing this summer?
« on: June 26, 2003, 07:05 PM »
I'm one of those folks to whom summer just means working at the office in shorts instead of pants.  I rarely get to enjoy the lazy summer days on the beach or whatever (unless it's a Saturday or Sunday).

That being said...I plan to take a trip or two. I'm going to Comic Con in July....

Vegas sometime after that.

Maybe a couple of shorter trips here and there.  I sure miss those long, lazy summer vacations though.

I'll be there as well (maybe some of us can meet up).

I'm going to be buying as many as I can get for needy members....but I don't want to make any promises up front in case I get the shaft.

They're at the Seattle Science Center....

So there.

JoshEEE - keep your Cube. The new Rouge Squad game that is coming blows away any game the system has thus far

That's what they say about every Star Wars game to date, and the only two that have lived up to it (IMO) have been the original Rogue Squadron and Shadows of the Empire for the N64.

Everything else has been rather ho-hum, or better on another platform.

I'm hanging onto the cube at least until Mario Kart though. That is my one shining light at the end of the tunnel for this system.

Yeah. I bought my Gamecube when Sunshine came out, only to lose interest in it before Christmas came around.

I sold my Gameboy Advance a few months after I got it, because I just wasn't playing that enough either.

I don't think marrying the two is going to get me anymore excited about my little purple purse.

For me...the last hope for my Gamecube is Mario Kart. I'm really betting my whole system on that one game. If it sucks, I'm selling the stupid thing, because right now it's just collecting dust with my PS2 anyway.

I had to share this, but over the last 2 nights I've opened over 80 of my Simpsons figures.  I'll finish it up tonight, and then figure out what I need to complete my collection. I've decided I really dont like how much space the enviornments take up.

Target has a great deal, buy a Cube get the GBA player for free!  Im going to go for that deal, and just sell my old Cube (I want a black GC anyway, to match everything else)

I don't know if that's a "great" Deal. Weren't they giving away the free games with the gamecube up until this month? So....either way, it's a 49.99 value, right?

I'd wait a month for that thing to drop to 39.99.  Or 29.99 even.

I believe what he was saying is you get to KEEP the DVD. Not rent it.

Do I have that right Cory?

(If so, I'd sure like Bill and Ted. I have the VHS copy already).   :)

My question is: Why is the damn thing so HUGE? I know the Gamecube is purse-sized, but this thing is the width of the whole console. That's weird considering they've got Gameboy technology smaller than a deck of cards now.
