The Black Series 3.75" / Re: 16 Most Useless SW Figures
« on: November 19, 2013, 06:18 PM »
Bricken used to run Topless Robot, and the site improved since he left.

I'm tired of these "negative attention" lists that anyone can write (and does), almost always based on petty crap and lacking any humour  ( the author probably thought he was hilarious). Invoking "kids" is also a good way for me to dismiss anything anyone says about anything, especially when we are talking about toys with a large collector following.

The lie that was the truth, "I'm a pirate."

Also, I didn't think about it until the next day, but this episode fits into the "Do you get to come back?"
from the season opener.

Yeah, tons of little black hats....everyone has.

Reminds me.

How come China grey market sellers rarely  have accessories?

How come no one custom casts accessories like that? Or am I out of the loop?

There's a few "super articulated" figures with not-so-great elbow movement. Hoth Han comes to mind.

Also starring David Morrissey as Snake Plisskin.

Mostly predictable episode once he meets the family.

Except...I did not expect part two.

That maybe leaves us with one episode with Rick and Co. before the mid-season break.

I'd have stayed where's there is pepperoni sticks and a safe place to sleep.

I think the store ever put them out yet if they got them in.

The only other SW figure in the store, besides those scanning sets, is a vintage AOTC Obi-Wan.

Really?  I felt like 2009 was still a **** ton of product...

The sales drop-off on the chart, not the amount of product released.

Finally found them at retail...not that I'd been searching hard. Still no Ewok sets.

Painted hands on the officer... :( but at least he has the right colored ankle joints.

2008 = the launch of Clone Wars, both TV show and the CW theatrical movie push.

It also kicked off the mega-vehicle craze with the AT-TE and BMF/Falcon.

True, but man the drop off the next year was huge.

Why were Star Wars sales huge in 2008? Or am I misreading?

The X-Men seem to have lost their luster. No wonder the Wolverine line was 5 crappy 5 POA figures

Mara Jade 150% over SRP

Anyone paying $27 for that should just send me their money instead. It makes as much sense.

Like T-Dog said, head to the coast...get a boat.

Did he say boat? he should have.

I'd like the Walking Dead spin-off show to be a What if? show.

"What if T-Dog headed for the coast?"

"What if Shane killed Rick?"

"What if Rick hadn't handcuffed Merle?"

"What if Rick's horse could talk?"

"What if Glenn became Glenda?"

Banana peels people...  Banana peels.

A tropical fruit in short supply in post-apocalyptic Georgia.

So they had 10,000 each of the four reissued characters in the 5-pack lying around?

Quote
s well as the conditions that make it impossible to offer every character in every scale.

Why is there more than one scale? Did they hire playmate's marketing person who pitched the Terminator Salvation and Star Trek lines?

I think the big reveal will be that the Governor has a zombie eye under that eye patch.
