Kenner Retro Collection / Re: 3rd Party Kenner Retro-Style Toys

I’ve never even thought about looking for stuff on their site.  What kinda of search terms are you using?  “Stan Solo Star Wars” doesn’t seem to come up with anything.

Yeah despite their search bar sometimes completing a query like that, using Stan Solo doesn’t work. I tend to see listings after I search some variant of “Star Wars 3.75 figure” or “Star Wars vintage collection”. I went through my orders and found the listing for the figures I bought. Prices have gone up slightly for the Fetts…

If you poke around Aliexpress, you can find some Stan Solo figures for about $10 a pop. Picked up the ESB & ROTJ Boba Fetts and Garidan. No accessories, but that’s what the retro collection blow outs at Ollie’s are for. Not bad for maybe $15 each all in.

Amazon shipped the new Luke to me yesterday. Far superior to the original version, closest Hasbro will get to the SH Figuarts quality. The facial likeness is strange, at certain angles it is great, but looking straight at it, it’s poor. Still glad to have it in the collection.

Funny enough, I bought one at Target on Saturday and just opened it a few minutes ago... I don't know that I'd agree that it's passable... seems on par with the rest.  Here's my standard comparison shot:

My big question at the moment is where to slot this one, I'd been assuming it was an Endor thing but they grey coloring has me thinking it goes with the Mandalorian stuff.

Is it me or does this Epic series speeder bike appear to be a reuse of the mold from the vintage & POTF2 speeder bikes?

Saw a handful of the Epic Mando today at a local Ross for $3.99. So your mileage may vary.

Hard to tell from the angle of the photos, did they fix the helmet?

Received mine yesterday.  Looking forward to opening these up.  The images I've seen of Sabine show a radically different look from her appearance in AHSOKA.  And I'm happy that Hasbro went the extra mile there.

I opened mine last night, it’s as far as I can tell a completely all new sculpt. I was quite surprised they did not reuse some parts, especially the upper legs and pelvis. The best surprise though is it’s a swappable helmet that scales much better than the AHSOKA Sabine helmet.

I managed to get three of these on clearance at Target shortly after they came out.

Such a weird release.

Yeah I think I paid less than a basic figure at Target when I got mine on clearance. As Jeff alluded to, I think Hasbro just made too many of these. Seems to be the case lately looking at places like Ollie’s and Ross.

Seen a lot of reports of this hitting Ollie’s for $14.99. My local store didn’t have it but it’s still a great price worth keeping an eye out for.

Considering they cannot release a 3.75” AT-ST that is stable and won’t eventually fall over or warp, why would anyone want to pay hundreds of dollars for a 6” version likely to have the same problems?

Of course it happens just months after I finally finished my 15 year long customs of them…

We all thank you for your sacrifice.  Can you please finish work on a custom Tzizvvt and Yerka Mig so Hasbro makes those too?  :D

LOL you are welcome Jeff!  ;D

I did also do a Yerka Mig too recently ( https://www.instagram.com/p/C1pWX-dOKc2/?igsh=em9jY3RtcG1iOGZp for the shameless plug) but would fully support Hasbro to steal my thunder again haha

Yeah, I'm definitely not expecting to pull a profit on the second set (unless I keep it forever, I don't have the space for that). I am just hoping to get as much back as I can to help offset the cost of having one set of loose & carded figures. If I can get $325-$350 total for the rest of it I'd be ecstatic.

Separating it out may work best. Some folks may just want the bar. Others like myself may just need/want an extra alcove. And who doesn’t want more cups?  ;D

Hallelujah the great dream has become a reality. Really shocked we’re getting the Tonnika Sisters finally. Of course it happens just months after I finally finished my 15 year long customs of them…

I was looking at the bandstand alcove situation yesterday and the pic Scott posted has the proper spot for the band. It’s supposed to be slightly larger than the seat alcoves so what is coming in the playset will not be accurate if that is a concern anyone has. There should then be another seat alcove in the far back corner of the cantina, but looks like Hasbro went for symmetry instead

Got my set today. Mon Mothma came out really good, definite vintage vibe to her. Her accessory was a surprise too, won’t spoil it for anyone. Also it was a perverse pleasure opening Yak Face, lol
