Star Wars Universe / New Jedi Order!
« on: July 2, 2005, 11:49 PM »
I saw this mentioned elsewhere.  The NJO toys would be great, along with a lot of other EU toys.

Think of all the bad jedi you can get!  Right now you have a mess of good jedi toys, but only Dooku, vader, maul and Sidious.

4 bad guys!  you need more.  EU gives you that. =)  Instant playability all kids would like that

NJO is good too, as the bad guys are tough and evil looking.  Sure most fo the stories in the series stunk, and chewie died in the dumbest way, but lots of jedi and baddies.

Star Wars Universe / Re: Shadows and EU

you know lucas doesn't come up with much of anything beyond the storyline, even for the movies.  Someone else dreams up what things look like, the planets, the ships, the troopers.

Lucas just approves them, Expanded Universe has great possiblities, I have loved how they tried so hard to connect it all into one history. (granted you've got some early stuff that's screwy, but even that's had attempts to fix it up lol)

I hate how Hasbro is reluctant to make more EU toys.  Just cuz it isn't in a movie doesn't mean anything.  What movie was GI Joe in?  Kenner/Hasbro just dreamed up neat looking figures and a cartoon was made for them.

Ok here, they have the characters made and Designed for them already and they are really good looking.  All they have to do is make the figure!

TV-9D9 / Re: Will the new TV shows make Star Wars weak?

Come to think of it, Lucas purposely didn't show all the jedi getting killed off. Them fighting back as a guerilla force to get the sith would be neat.

they killed Cone head, I loved that guy!

There is definitely an audience for SciFi on TV.

Star Wars on TV could rock, I think they ought to avoid playing with the main characters though, and definitely stick to the great continuity factor that is in all that is Star Wars.

It could be as simple as the story of a band of Clone troopers battling some place, or even jump into the past and have a big jedi/sith war going on.

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Could you possibly make a good Mace Windu?
« on: July 2, 2005, 11:00 PM »
I never understood the idea that figures have to slash or kick or jump.

I remember hating my action figures that I couldn't pose like I wanted.  Articulation is FUN hasbro!  wake up, evildoers. =p

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Video game figures!

With Video Games and even the Comics and Novels allowed in for action figures, we'd NEVER have a shortage of Sith again!

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Clone Army Packs... if only!
« on: July 2, 2005, 10:45 PM »
ooh Sith and Jedi too!

heh they'll need to dig up more Sith minons to even it out though.  Maybe do it from the Dark Empire Comics, the CLone Emperor had a mess of Dark Jedi minions.

Revenge of the Sith / Clone Army Packs... if only!
« on: July 2, 2005, 10:43 PM »
I saw talk about the Evolutions 3 packs.

Hey I'd shell out a pretty penny for some nice army packs. Not tiny simple 4-5 figures. but like 20.

have a nice write up included with all the details of the troops, colors, ranks, gear.

Do one for:
Ep1 droids
Ep1 Naboo/Senate guards troops
Ep2 droids
Ep2 Clones
Ep3 Droid
Ep3 Clones
Ep4-6 Rebellion troops
Ep4-6 Imperial troops
Expanded universe Good guys
Expanded Universe Bad guys

OOH I drool, just thinking about it!

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Chrome Clonetrooper Fig.

Ebay is filled with trash like this.

couple of years ago I found a C-3PO 12" figure from 1975...lol, that strike anyone as a bit odd?  Granted this isn't the same as scaming but I still don't like it. =p

Revenge of the Sith / More articulation!
« on: July 2, 2005, 10:34 PM »
Remember GI Joe figures? they had awesome articulation, what gives these days?  All the figures stink

We should be getting super durable and posable figures these days.  Drop the silly hack and slash, give us articulation!

I like the new ankle and shoulder blade set ups, combine that with the tried and true rubber band guts of the old GI Joes and things would rock!

They'd be really durable too, given the better rubber-like plastics used.  just have the crotch and thumbs be that rubber and use the great knee and elbow set ups.

Ok I'm done ranting, for now.... So many jedi these days, so little movement heh
